Batman Arkham Origins Upgrade Level Up Guide

In Batman Arkham Origins, Batman will gain experience points as he finishes missions. These experience points will be translated to upgrade points which can then be used to purchase upgrades. This will allow Batman to level up.

Batman upgrades of these category will be divided into -

  • Close Combat Upgrades
  • Invisible Predator Upgrades

In addition, Batman will have to complete certain categories of missions to unlock his -

  • Auxiliary Upgrades

This will list Batman's upgrades and the effects it has on his combat, predatory and auxiliary skills against the bad guys.

  • Concussion Detonator

The concussion detonator is a non lethal explosive munition designed for crowd control scenarios. Blinds and confuses anyone caught in the blast radius. As Batman levels up with experience, the concussion detonator stun duration increases.The concussion detonator effects are boosted to increase enemy recovery time

  • Close Combat Upgrades

With each upgrade in combat armor, Batman's batsuit resistance increases by 25% to a total of 100% at version 4 upgrade level up.

  • Ballistic Armor Upgrades

With each upgrade in combat armor, Batman's ballistic armor resistance increases by 25% to a total of 100% at version 4 upgrade level up.

  • Blade Dodge Takedown

Batman ends his defensive stance and maneuver against enemies with blades by doing a takedown.

  • Critical Counter

Batman performs critical counters to deliver double damage.

  • Special Combo Bat Swarm

Batman calls down a swarm of bats, stunning all nearby enemies.

  • Special Combo Multi Takedown

Deploy a barrage of batarangs that instantly defeats all enemies already knocked down onto the ground.

  • Special Combo Boost

Special combo attacks such as special combo takedown can be activated after hit counter reaches 5.

  • Double Special Combo Move

Advanced combat techniques allows Batman to earn up to two special combo moves.

Batman Arkham Origins Level Up Shock Gloves

  • Shock Gloves Upgrades

The electrocutioner provides the blueprint for electricity shocked gloves. When activated, Batman delivers a dose of nonlethal electrical impulse. Batman will only have this after the electrocutioner is defeated. This is one of the most fun weapons of the game.

  • Shock Glove Battery Efficiency

Increase shock glove efficiency by 50%.

  • Shock Glove Enhanced Charge

Charge the shock gloves more quickly than previously possible.

  • Shock Glove Stun Baton Counter

A shock glove enabled technique that allows Batman to counter enemy stun baton moves.

  • Shock Glove Shield Counter

A shock glove enabled technique that allows Batman to counter enemy shield bash attacks.

Eventually, Batman will require the Shock Gloves to defeat Bane.

Batman Arkham Origins Invisible Predator Upgrades

  • Increased Batarang Stun Time

Increase the stun time for opponents impacted by a batarang. Improves all types of batarangs.

  • Increased Batarang Damage

Increase damage done by the batarangs.

  • Double Batarang

Advanced deployable technique allows Batman to simultaneously engage two independent targets.

  • Triple Batarang

As above, but three batarangs

  • Glue Grenade Proximity Trigger Upgrade

This upgrade adds a proximity trigger to an activated glue grenade. This allows Batman to create a trap that will trigger once an enemy approaches the activated grenade.

  • Glue Cluster Grenade

Glue grenade is modified to produce a surface dispersal effect that restricts enemy movements.

  • Glue cluster Proximity Sensor

This upgrade detonates a glue cluster based on enemy proximity.

  • Increased Adhesive Resistance

Increase the duration that the glue grenade and the glue cluster restrict an enemy.

  • Glide Boost Attack

Perform a high speed glide attack towards a single enemy. Strike at maximum velocity to achieve immediate knockout.

  • Explosive Gel Frequency Detonator

Allows batman to remotely detonate explosive gels one by one instead of all at once.

  • Heat Signature Concealment System

Batman's suit is upgraded with a material to mask his heat signature. Enemies with thermal detection units cannot detect Batman.

  • Glue Grenade

Batman deploys a resin material that holds the enemy in place. This is particularly useful in a fight with multiple enemies.

  • Quick Silent Takedown

Your silent takedowns are faster than before.

  • Increased Smoke Volume

Increase the radius of effect of each smoke pallet.

  • Explosive Gel - Proximity Detonator

Explosive gel is now equipped with a proximity detonator mechanism.

  • Remote Claw

A gadget which runs a line between two objects.

  • Rope Takedown

2 rope takedown techniques - the tightrope takedown and the zip line takedown. Batman gains these two techniques as he levels up.

  • Remote Claw Heavy Reel Ammo

A new takedown technique using a special remote claw projectile. Ammo is limited.

  • Increased Disruptor Capacity

Adds an extra charge to the disruptor's heatsink.

  • Disruptor

Multi wavelength saturation device that can compromise various electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Disruptor - PA System Disruption Algorithm

Upgrade the disruptor to temporarily disable the pa system in predator encounters.

  • Disruptor - Mine Disruptor

Modify the disruptor frequency to remotely detonate mines.

  • Increased Disruptor Capacity

Adds an extra charge to the disruptor's heatsink.

Batman Auxiliary Upgrades

These upgrades can only be leveled up by completing a series of missions or by completing the dark knight system.

Batman Auxiliary Upgrades

  • Free flow focus - increase damage and slows time when the combo meter reaches 12 or more
  • Free Flow Power Upgrades

Use a more powerful version of the gadget quick fire when in free flow focus mode.

  • Increased Smoke Duration - complete Black Mask most wanted.
  • Concussion detonator - complete Anarky most wanted.
  • Special Combo Disarm and Destroy - complete Bird most wanted.
  • Grapnel Accelerator Takedown - reach Gotham Protector Rank 3 in the dark knight system to earn this upgrade.
  • Shockwave Attack - Reach Gotham Protector Rank 10 to earn this upgrade.
  • Cryptographic Power Amplifier - this is achieved by collecting a set of enigma datapacks.This will Improve the signal strength of the cryptographic sequencer to increase its range.
  • Reverse Batarang. This will allow Batman to throw a batarang that will always hit the targeted enemies in the back, knocking him towards Batman. Achieved after completing Mad Hatter quest.

  • Disruptor - disable weapon box. Complete Penguin most wanted.
  • Sonic Batarang

Reach worst nightmare rank 3 in the dark knight system to earn this upgrade.

  • Sonic Shock Batarang

Reach worst nightmare rank 10 in the dark knight system to earn this upgrade.

  • Batclaw Disarm

Upgraded batclaw allows batman to disarm enemies carrying firearms.
