Buried is a map on Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies mode. Buried is featured in the Vengeance map pack. Buried takes place in an underground western town. There are buildings from classic western towns like the Saloon, General Store, Town Hall, and more. This article will explain how to get through the Haunted Mansion in Buried without losing points from the ghosts (or at least minimize points taken).
First and foremost, the only way to get inside the Haunted Mansion is by either destroying the barricade using Leroy or using a Trample Steam and jumping across the fence. In order to destroy the barricade in front of the Haunted Mansion in Buried, give Leroy booze in front of the Barricade. When you do this, Leroy will charge forward and smack into the barricade, which destroys it. Booze can be found mainly in the Jail Cell or the Saloon. Players can alternatively buy booze for 1000 points at the cash register in the Saloon.
Get Through Haunted Mansion Without Losing Points
Getting through the Haunted Mansion on Buried can be very difficult without losing your hard earned points from killing zombies. If a ghost merely touches you, you will lose 2000 points automatically!
The reason why going through the Haunted Mansion is important in Black Ops 2 Buried is because it's the only path you can take to find the Pack-A-Punch machine, which upgrades your weapons.
Note if the player(s) gets through the Haunted Mansion and successfully kills all the ghosts, then they will get a free perk (even if a player already has four perks). Also, it does not matter if a player loses points and still kills all the ghosts. The free perk will still be given on Buried. However, as far as I know, you can only get a free perk once per round.
Avoid Being Touched By Ghosts In Haunted Mansion
The best way to get through the Haunted Mansion without losing points is by using powerful weapons and having perks. The two most important perks you should have before going through is Juggernog and Speed Cola. Besides the fact that the ghosts can steal your points, they can also damage your health, so having Juggernog allows you to take more damage without going down. Speed Cola is also essential because the ghosts move relatively fast. If you are reloading, you will not be able to shoot them before they touch you and steal your points. Speed Cola significantly decreases reload time which is helpful when the ghosts attack you.
If possible, avoid using the Paralyzer Wonder Weapon when going through the Mansion. The Paralyzer is a great weapon for killing zombies, but in my experience, it is horrible against ghosts. The reason being is that the Paralyzer slows ghosts down, but it does not kill them quickly enough compared to other weapons.
Use weapons like the Ray Gun or the Ray Gun Mark 2 when going through the Mansion. The Ray Gun is powerful and shoots quickly, so you can take out the ghosts before they steal your points!
Tips for Getting Through Haunted Mansion
When going through the Mansion, make sure you are constantly moving, but do not sprint constantly. While sprinting makes you move faster, you may bump into a ghost and lose points. When you first enter the Mansion, head up the stairs and take a left. Be careful as ghosts will come through the book shelf. You have to wait until the ghosts come through the book shelf so you can get through the other side. Just make sure you do not stand extremely close to the book shelf, otherwise you will be touched by a ghost!
Also, it's possible that ghosts may appear behind you. However, this seems to happen more when every player is in the Mansion at once. It may actually be easier to get through when fewer players enter the Mansion. When multiple players enter all at once, it can become confusing, and players may easily lose points. In my opinion, it's best for only 1-2 players to enter the mansion so that they do not bump into each other and mess up other players. The other players should stay back in town. They will still get attacked by ghosts until they are all dead. However, at least in this fashion, the 1-2 players who go through the Mansion will have less ghosts to deal with.
Ghosts Are Infinite Whilst Staying in the Haunted Mansion
Understand that staying inside the Haunted Mansion and camping in a corner to kill ghosts is not a good idea! In fact, this is counter-productive. Until you leave the Mansion, ghosts will constantly spawn, so even if you just stand in a spot and keep shooting them, it will not help. You must keep moving, but not too fast or the ghosts will touch you!

Once you get out of the Haunted Mansion and into the Hedge Maze, look behind you for the last remaining ghosts. Do not make the mistake of thinking they are all gone because you can still get points taken when outside of the Mansion. Hopefully these tips will help you.

Hi your tips are really useful especially since the first I went into the haunted mansion i tried waiting them out in a corner and soon enough was trying to knife all of them, i made it pretty far though. But something i noticed after a while was that when you first enter the mansion go into the room where the perk is cause when you first enter a lot of ghost spawn quickly so the room will help you defend yourself after you kill about 6 ghost then make your way up the stairs. I played with my cousin and we do this and when we make our way up the stairs we are back to back one defending behind and the other in front you should try this it helps. thanks for the advice and i hope i can help with mine.

It works but you don't necceserly have to put your time bomb before the last ghost and a good tip is to put all of your money in the bank or at least some of it and just run and gun your way through the haunted mansion

Someone said something recently about using timb bomb to get more perks. I don't think it worked for me (unless I did something wrong).
holzey on June 29, 2014:
you can't get two free perks the time bomb way because the time bomb reverts you to the last point it was thrown, that means u won't have the perks you just got.

yeah I must co-concieve with earthquake there. I have just got all of the DLC and have found that even in solo, there can be more than one ghost at a time because there were 7 of them after me all at once. If anybody who reads this wants to play BO2 sometime, just give me a shout on xbox live cCGroup935Cc

Free perks. This can be done every five rounds until all four players have seven perks.

Actually you only get a free perk every five rounds. You must look at the Haunted Mansion to see if the lights are on. And you can actually acquire two free perks every time this is done. One player must have a time bomb. You lay the time bomb down before you kill the last ghost, and then after you kill it, but before you pick up the perk, you activate the time bomb. Once this is done, you kill the last which once again, and voila, two
