Power and Pack-a-Punch in "CoD: Black Ops Cold War Zombies": Die Maschine

Like predecessor games, the first step in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies: Die Maschine is to turn on the power. The second step is to activate the Pack-a-Punch machine. This guide will lead you step by step. For a quick reference see the steps below, scroll down for a more detailed explanation.

Steps:

  1. Get to the Power Room
  2. Activate Power
  3. Activate the Terminals
  4. Get the Machine Part
  5. Build the Pack-a-Punch Machine

Step 1: Get to the Power Room

Unlike the previous versions of Black Ops Zombies, this is the first to give an on-screen indicator of the power room, along with arrows pointing towards the power room. There is a white triangle that says power with the distance indicated. This will help lead you to the power room, but can still be confusing since it does not give the quickest route.

  1. First will need to open a door into Nacht Der Untoten and travel upstairs, opening the door to the crash site.
  2. Once in the crash site go past the plane crash and Juggernog, open the tunnel entrance.
  3. Once inside the tunnel, another door will automatically open, go through that door and open the next door on your right into the Weapons Lab.
  4. Follow the arrows to the Particle Accelerator.
  5. Follow the platforms and stairs up to the final power door.

Step 2: Activate Power

Once inside the power room, there is a table with the power indicator above it. Approach the table and activate the button.

Step 3: Activate the Terminals

You will have to activate the Cyclotron Resonator on two terminals after the power is on. Both terminals will have indicators above them. Go to each station and activate the button.

Step 4: Get the Machine Part

Activating the terminals will open an anomaly on the platform in the Particle Accelerator room overlooking the ground floor. This is the same place the Pack-a-Punch machine will later be. There will be an onscreen indicator that says "Anomaly." Approach the anomaly and activate it. There will be a short delay and then you will go through a wormhole and enter into the Dark Aether.

Tip: Make sure you have at least 500 essence before activating the anomaly, you will need it to activate the Aether Tunnel.

Once in the Aether head back towards the crash site. There will be a new indicator on the screen, which says Aether Tunnel. This can be in one of two spots, the Crash Site or the Pond. The Pond is an area connected to the crash site which was opened when the power was turned on.

You will be pulled into the tunnel as soon as you activate the Aether Tunnel. The Machine Part will be close to the area in the tunnel where you land. Pick up the part.

Tip: You can take this opportunity to get the fuse from under the cockpit. It will be useful when upgrading the D.I.E. Shockwave with the lightning element, which is a necessary step in the Die Maschine Easter Egg.

Step 5: Build the Pack-a-Punch Machine

Now that you have the Machine Part, an on-screen indicator will appear that says Machine. Follow it back to the area where the Anomaly first appeared. In its place will be what looks like a ghost Pack-a-Punch machine. Approach it and attach the part. You will come out of the Dark Aether and the working Pack-a-Punch machine will be there.
