Unlocking the Easter Egg Song

In this guide, I will cover the steps necessary to turn on the easter egg song "Shepherd of Fire" by Avenged Sevenfold in Origins Zombies on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This song was recently released by the group and was in the intro trailer. You can also hear the song within the game if you follow these steps.

How to Unlock the Easter Egg Song "Shepard of Fire" by Avenged Sevenfold

In order to unlock the song, you must find three radio transmitters:

The First Transmitter

  1. Head toward the church.
  2. Go into the robot that walks on the paths near the church.
  3. Once inside the giant robot, you should see the transmitter, which looks like a glowing, orange radio on the ground.
  4. Hold the action button to activate the transmitter. (Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox)

The Second Transmitter

  1. Go to the excavation site. Get underneath it.
  2. The transmitter is on one of the platforms that you can drop down onto, near the mule kick.
  3. Go to the middle of the excavation tower near the dials for the ultimate staff.
  4. You will see the transmitter on the ground, which glows orange like the first one (but not as bright) and looks like a radio.
  5. Hold the action button to activate the transmitter. (Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox)

The Third Transmitter

  1. Go down into the crazy place.
  2. Walk between the fire area and the purple electric area.
  3. Look for a transmitter on the ground that looks the same as the others. It will seem out of place. (Note: some thought this was for the easter egg initially, but it simply unlocks the last hidden song for Origins Zombies.)
  4. Hold the action button to activate the transmitter. (Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox)
  5. Enjoy listening to "Shepard of Fire" by Avenged Sevenfold

Things to Note

  • Sometimes you may need to move around, hitting the action button at different angles for it to register.
  • A couple of times I've noticed the song does not start playing until a new round starts.
