Outside of my day job as a project manager for a construction company, I am an avid gamer with a great passion for "Call of Duty."
5 Mob of the Dead Perks
There are five perks that can be accessed in Alcatraz. Four of the perks have been featured on previous maps. The fifth perk, Electric Cherry, has its first appearance on this map.
Perks on Alcatraz
- Electric Cherry
- Speed Cola
- Double Tap
- Deadshot Daiquiri
Powering the Perks
Like most maps, you must provide power to the perk machines before you can use them. But, unlike the other maps, you will power up the perks separately. In order to do this, you will need to shoot it with electricity while in Afterlife.
Steps for Powering the Perk Machines
- Go into Afterlife.
- Shoot the Voltmeter with electricity.
- Revive yourself.
Note: This can often be done while accomplishing other objectives during the same Afterlife.
Cost: 2000 Points
Alcatraz is the first map to include Electric Cherry. When you reload your weapon you release a burst of electricity that will stun and sometimes kill zombies in the area. Due to the many narrow walkways and small areas this perk can be very useful on this map.
It can be found on the top level of the Cell Blocks between the walkway that leads to the Gondola and the walkway that leads to the Infirmary. It is very close to a Building Station. This is commonly activated during the same Afterlife as the Gondola.
Jugger-Nog is considered the most important perk by most players. It increases the amount of damage you can take before going down.
Jugger-Nog can be found on the upper level of the Docks. It is in a small area between the Citadel Tunnels and the Gondola. It is often activated as the same time as the gate that obstructs the one of the plane parts, the Tank.

Speed Cola is a useful perk that is found in most zombie maps. It allows you do several actions quicker, including reloading your weapon.
It can be found in the back room of the Warden's Office. It is near that table that the Blundergat appears on after collecting the Crystal Skulls. It is often activated when lowering the Wardens Key and opening the Warden Office door.
Double Tap is liked by some players. Other players feel it will waste their ammo. This perk will double the damage inflicted by your bullet. For fully automatic weapons it will also increase your firing rate by 10%–30%, depending on the gun.
Double Tap can be found on the top level of the Citadel Tunnels. It is below the Warden's Office. Players will often activate this perk at the same time as powering the Washing Machine in the Showers. The Washing Machine holds the uniform that is needed for building the plane.
Deadshot Daiquiri has only been used in a couple of maps. It puts your cross-hairs on a zombies head when you aim down the barrel. It also increases the amount of damage headshots will inflict.
It can be found in the Infirmary in a small room right below the Roof entrance. It is often turned on at the same time that the door to the Roof is opened.
What You Need to Know
- The Security Guard will smash your perks into the ground. It will cost you 2000 points to repair it.
- You can only have four perks at one time.
- When you go down due to damage you will lose your perks.
- The perk does not take full effect until you finish drinking it.
- Flopper and Mule Kick are visible from the Docks, but can not be accessed.

Deadshot doesn't increase damage. Check the wiki if you don't believe me.
