Hi, I'm an avid gamer and game developer, who enjoys exploring new gaming genres and trends.

New Biomes, Coming Soon

At the time of writing this post, the world of Mope is a chaotic mess of seemingly random terrain generation. A process that results in an illogical world where biomes are thrown together in no particular order. At least, that is how it feels. Luckily the developer is addressing this issue.

As part of a massive map update that will see the world of Mope taking on a more structured virtual eco-system, the developer of Mope is planning to release a myriad of new biomes, that will be ordered as shown in the picture below.

The jungle biome will be the dark green area in the middle section. Here, there will be new animals, food and obstacles. Bananas will spawn often here.

Jungle Structures

According to the official Mope.io sub-reddit we can expect the jungle to have no hills, randomly generated puddles that are the size of the current lily pads, light green trees that will not be as wide as hills but wider than a lily pad, sporadic ponds, a new food in the shape of pink dots that represent flowers and will be worth three experience points, a flower bush, both small and medium sized holes to hide in, the usual berries and berry bushes and finally the well-known brown and red mushrooms.

The New Jungle Animals

With new lands come new animals, lots of them. We expect to see fourteen new animals per new biome. And that means you or your children will most likely be playing for many more hours in attempts to become the top animal within each new food chain.

Below is the proposed list of animals for the new jungle biome. It will make sense to your children playing Mope, I swear. When you read that a spider is like a mouse, that is simply a comparison of abilities against the games' original animals.

You should add a snake that's coiled up and it's ability is to strike and it'll look round because it's coiled

You shouldn't give so much credit to the spider monkey.
