New Jungle Biome and Jungle Animals for Mope.io
New Biomes, Coming Soon
At the time of writing this post, the world of Mope is a chaotic mess of seemingly random terrain generation. A process that results in an illogical world where biomes are thrown together in no particular order. At least, that is how it feels. Luckily the developer is addressing this issue.
As part of a massive map update that will see the world of Mope taking on a more structured virtual eco-system, the developer of Mope is planning to release a myriad of new biomes, that will be ordered as shown in the picture below.
The jungle biome will be the dark green area in the middle section. Here, there will be new animals, food and obstacles. Bananas will spawn often here.
According to the official Mope.io sub-reddit we can expect the jungle to have no hills, randomly generated puddles that are the size of the current lily pads, light green trees that will not be as wide as hills but wider than a lily pad, sporadic ponds, a new food in the shape of pink dots that represent flowers and will be worth three experience points, a flower bush, both small and medium sized holes to hide in, the usual berries and berry bushes and finally the well-known brown and red mushrooms.
The New Jungle Animals
With new lands come new animals, lots of them. We expect to see fourteen new animals per new biome. And that means you or your children will most likely be playing for many more hours in attempts to become the top animal within each new food chain.
Below is the proposed list of animals for the new jungle biome. It will make sense to your children playing Mope, I swear. When you read that a spider is like a mouse, that is simply a comparison of abilities against the games' original animals.
These friendly little guys are the equivalent to the mouse, with the added ability of being to slowly climb trees.
Oddly enough this naturally slow creature is comparable to the rabbit. Although, as slow as he is, his bit is pretty nasty. It can also climb up trees and hills.
With the ability to hide in trees this fluffy guy is a cousin to the mole. It can also fly over some obstacles like; rocks, hills and trees.
Another bird with the ability to fly over obstacles like; hills, rocks and trees. This creature is equal to the pig.
The flying fox can fly over the same obstacles as the other birds; trees, rocks and hills. But he can do it very fast. This creature is equal to the fox.
Yes another bird, and yes he can fly over rocks, trees and hills. And is similar to the deer.
Like you would expect, this cat can run really fast and is like the original zebra.
The cougar can dash about just like the cheetah and is akin to the original cheetah.
With an ability to dash further than its kitty cat cousin the cougar this animal is like the lion.
Cuddly and lovable, the panda has the ability to rapidly climb trees and hills. But sadly he is rather slow on ground. He can be compared to the bear.
Monkey, of course, he can quickly climb up trees and hills. Equivalent to the croc.
Jungle version of the rhino. This little guy can fly over tree, hills and rocks. He also has the ability to swoop down and eat spiders in a single bite.
The elephant is like the original hippo. And although it moves slowly out of water it does have the ability to charge.
Top of the jungle food chain. Of course, it has to be the mythical bigfoot. It is the jungle cousin of the dragon and has the ability to stun and damage other creatures with its legendary yell.
