Poppy lives near Tokyo and likes to read novels and play video games, especially fantasy RPGs.

Playing video games is an awesome hobby that millions around the world enjoy. No matter your taste in genre, gameplay, or console, there is something out there for everybody. Long gone are the days where you had to go to the arcade with a pocketful of quarters to play Tetris; now it has never been easier or more affordable to enjoy all kinds of games from the comfort of your own home.

Almost all games have characters in them. Some, such as Portal and Slender, only have one or two, and others, such as Mass Effect, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft, have an enormous cast. Characters are vital to any game with a story; just like in books and movies, characters can sink their claws into you, make you laugh and cry, and greatly affect your enjoyment of a game.

It isn't unusual to develop crushes on some video game characters. When I was 16, I had an unhealthy obsession with Alistair Theirin from Dragon Age: Origins! Throughout the years of gaming, generations of players have enjoyed an enormous amount of attractive and sexy characters that can stick with us throughout playing the game and even far beyond that. You've seen the top 15 hottest males from video games; here is a list of the top 35 prettiest female characters!

Maybe it's her flowing locks, her mysterious aura, or the fact that she takes none of Kratos' bossy attitude, but Freya is one of those characters who stick with you. A Vanir goddess who helps Kratos and Atreus on their journey, she just oozes sophistication, wisdom, and strength. It's no wonder some of us fell for her.

Wow. Tifa is easily the most overrated female character. I would've gotten rid of a lot of females on here and out Chun Li, Taokaka, and others.

A lot of these have a bit of wrong information. Liara isn't a romantic interest of Ryder, but actually Shepard. Also, the images of Kitana are from Soul Calibur, which does not actually feature Kitana at all, and that is just a fan made character.

Poppy, video games are unquestionably one of the most popular sorts of entertainment. WOW, what a selection of female video game characters. I am only familiar with two out of the selection. You did an excellent job writing this article and very informative of the characters. I am not a big video fan myself, but my nephew, niece and son play and I watch them at times. But, from the details of this article, I will look up some of the characters you spoke of and give it a try to see what I been missing. Thank you for your input and shedding the light on such entertaining characters.
