Archeage: Farming Gilda Stars

Updated on February 23, 2017

Gilda stars

In Archeage, Gilda star is a currency that is used to purchase special goods. To spend their hard earned Gilda Stars players need to make their way to Mirage Isle. There players can purchase boat designs, glider designs, farmers carts, fancy house designs, cool cars, superior horses and other stuff with their gilda stars. While some of these items are cosmetic, others give the owner a certain edge over players that go without. The prices of these items range from a few gilda stars up to thousands for the most expensive stuff.

Archeage offers several ways to farm gilda stars, such as daily quests and intercontinental trade runs. There are several types of daily quests which become available at different levels. Farming Gilda Stars either by trade runs or daily quest farming is a major part of the game.

Here is a list of activities which will earn you Gilda Stars in Archeage.

The Storyline Quest

The storyline quest in Archeage offers a certain amount of Gilda Stars. While not a huge amount it is still well worth it as the storyline quest itself is somewhat interesting. If your sole purpose is to farm Gilda stars, the storyline quest is far from being the best way.

Daily quests

There are several different daily quests available which reward Gilda stars, the ones I know of are:

  • Priestess of Nui quests
  • Blue Salt Brotherhood quests
  • Dungeoun quests
  • Naval quests
  • Farmer station quests

Each of these quests reward gilda stars at completion.

Did you know that ...

  • Daily quests are reset at 20:00 EST time.
  • You can run daily quests on all your characters.
  • Daily quests usually reward you with a single Gilda Star

Daily Quests: Priestess of Nui

At level 10, the Priestesses of Nui start to offer daily quests. You can locate them on your map at the respawn points. The daily quests change every five levels and stop at level 30.

These quests are usually easy to complete and each completed daily quest gives one Gilda Star.

Priestess of Nui

The priestess of Nui gives the daily Gilda star quest. This is also the re-spawn point when you die in Archeage.

Daily quests: The Blue Salt Brotherhood

When you reach level 31 you lose your access to the Priestess of Nui daily quests. But do not despair, the Blue Salt Brotherhood will start to offer you daily quests at that level which reward you with both a nice bit of silver and Gilda stars. The first mission becomes available at level 31, two more at level 40 and another two at level 50 for a total of five missions, making them even better to farm as you get to do five quests each day. They do require some traveling to complete, which is easy if you have a decent amount of Hereafter stones available to you as they reduce the travel time to nearly zero.

The Blue Salt Brotherhood NPC's can be found in most major cities on both continents. Each daily quest completed rewards you with a single gilda star.

Daily Quests : Mentor/Mentee Dungeon quests

These daily quests are located outside the Burnt Castle and Sharpwind Mines on the Nuia continents and Palace Cellar and Hadir Farm on the Haryana continent. You will get a daily quest there depending on your character level from Lucius the bird. These quests need to be completed as a team, so bring at least one friend along of the appropriate level.

These dailies are divided into Mentee and Mentor quests, with the mentor quests giving more gilda stars on completion.

Daily Quests: Naval quests.

There are 4 different naval quests that open up at high levels which can be performed daily to farm Gilda stars. These quests can be accessed at NPC's located at docks.

  • Enemies of the Sea Trade - rewards 1 Gilda Star.
  • Ghosts from the Depths - rewards 1 Gilda Star.
  • Stopping Doomsday - rewards 1 Gilda Star
  • Ghosts of Delphinad - rewards 3 Gilda Stars.

These quests are hard and best done in a group at high levels.

Daily Quests : Farmer's Workstation

If you own a house of any size you can construct a Farmer's Workstation. The workstation gives you access to daily quests in the form of quest items you need to produce to complete the quests. To receive the Gilda Stars you need to produce a Hearty meal, a Premium Hearty Meal or a Rare Hearty meal. Each giving a single Gilda Star when completed.

To craft the Farmer's Workstation you need a Small Scarecrow Design, 30 Lumber, and Viscous Glossy Oil.

Trade Runs.

Trade runs are useful for earning gold and farming Gilda Stars. There is no limit on the amount of trade runs you can make each day. The amount of gold you earn from a trade run is dependant on the distance between it's origin and the merchant that buys it.

To farm Gilda Stars this way you need to travel with a trade pack across the sea and deliver it to a trader either on the opposite continent or at Freedich Isle, which is a player vs player location. The amount of Gilda stars here also depend on the relative locations (still being researched).

You should also be aware that you can be attacked by the opposing faction when you are delivering a tradepack to the opposite continent so it is best to do it with a few friends to protect you as you turn in the trade pack.

While on trade runs ....

  • you cannot use any form of teleportation.
  • your best mount is the donkey.
  • you can always drop your pack.
  • remember that dropped packs can be picked up by anyone.

When you create a trade pack it is immediately fastened to your back, severely slowing your speed, so be sure that you have the time and opportunity to finish the trade run before deciding to create a trade pack or at least someone else is ready to do so. It should be noted that the crafter of the trade pack gets 20% of the gold rewards, however I am unsure how that translates into Gilda Stars.

Traveling with trade packs is best done with a donkey or a Farm Cart. If you use a donkey you should make use of the carriages that drive between towns and cities and airships that travel between the major cities on each continent. You will then need a ship of some sort to travel to the other continent or Freedich Isle to turn it in at the appropriate trader.
