Whether you're a Swordsman or a Knight, I see you’re ready to step up your adventure in Ragnarok Online. Knights are valiant warriors who value honor above all. They’re steadfast and strong, but that doesn’t even begin to sum up everything about them. Once you become a Knight, you’ll discover how valorous and gallant they really are.

Now that you’re on your way to becoming a Knight, there’s only one task left for you to complete and that’s passing the Knight Job Change Quest! Don’t fret about it because this guide will help you successfully pass the trial and finally become the Knight of your dreams.

The Knight Job Change Quest

Step 1: Register for the Knight Job Change Quest

Before you take the quest, keep in mind that your Job Level as a Swordsman should be 40 or above.

To begin, simply talk to Captain Herman who is inside the Knight Guild in Prontera (coordinates: prt_in (88, 101). The Knight Guild is located at the farthest northwest corner of Prontera.

Captain Herman will ask to talk to Sir Andrew Syloc for the first test.

Step 2: Take the First Test (Item Collecting)

Once you talk to Sir Andrew Syloc (coordinates: prt_in 75,107), he will ask you gather some items for him. There are two possible sets of items. Here they are as follows:

Set 1-

  • Elder Pixie’s Moustache x5
  • Mane x5
  • Moth Dust x5
  • Orcish Voucher x5
  • Reptile Tongue x5

Set 2-

Note: If your Job Level is 50, you can skip this test and automatically take the second test.

Step 3: Take the Second Test (Knight Quiz)

The second test is handled by Sir James Syracuse (coordinates: prt_in 71,91). He will ask you to answer eight of his questions. If you get one answer wrong, you’ll have to retake his test until and answer all the questions correctly.

Once you’re done answering everything perfectly in the Knight Quiz, you can now take the third test.

After you successfully pass the fourth test, you can now take the fifth test.

Step 6: Take the Fifth Test (Self-Control Trial)

Take the fifth test by talking to Sir Edmund (coordinates: prt_in 70,99). He will warp you to a room full of porings, lunatics, chonchons, and spores. All you need to do is WAIT without harming any monster within four minutes.

After you’re done with this test, you can finally take the sixth test.

Step 7: Take the Sixth Test (Personality Assessment)

The sixth test is proctored by Sir Grey (coordinates: prt_in 87,90). He will conduct your interview. Don’t worry about anything in this test. All you have to do is answer everything truthfully. There are no wrong answers in this test.

After taking this test, go back to Captain Herman and speak with him.

Step 8: Become a Knight

Now that you’ve passed all the tests, you’ve successfully completed the Knight Job Change Quest. Captain Herman will officially accept you as the newest knight of the guild. He will also give you some Awakening Potions as your welcome gift.

Congratulations, you are now a Knight!
