Hey there budding adventurer! I see you’ve decided to become a ninja. Ninjas follow the way of the shadow. They are individuals who sneak in the darkness and leave no trace of their existence. They excel in ninjutsu and all other forms of ninja art. With a flick of their fingers, they can strike without ever being discovered.

Now that you’re on your way to becoming a ninja, there’s only one task left for you to complete and that's passing the Ninja Job Change Quest! Don’t fret about it because this guide will help you successfully pass the trial and finally become the ninja of your dreams.

The Ninja Job Change Quest

Step 1: Speak with Akagi and Proceed to Amatsu

Before you take the quest, keep in mind that your Job Level as a Novice should be 10.

To begin, simply talk to Akagi who is at the southwest quadrant of Alberta (coordinates: alberta 30,65). He can be found standing on a wall near the Merchant Guild.

Since you’re a penniless Novice, Akagi will provide you free transportation going to Amatsu.

Step 2: Discover the Ninja Guild

The Ninja Guild is a top-secret hideout. The only way to access it is to scrutinize the house near the center of Amatsu.

The house looks like an empty house, but inside lies some secret. One of the walls is actually a secret passage to the elusive Ninja Guild. Walk through it and let the path guide you to your destiny.

Step 3: Sign-Up for the Ninja Job Change Quest

Talk to Cougar Gai and he will ask you to perform a task. The task is to deliver a message to certain Field Cat Joe in the city of Einbroch.

Note: You can get to the city of Einbroch by taking an airship ride going to Juno from Izlude and taking another airship ride from Juno to Einbroch.

Step 4: Search for Field Cat Joe

On top of the Einbroch Tower, which can be found near the center of Einbroch, there’s a suspicious guy (coordinates: Einbroch 184,194) who might know something about Field Cat Joe. Talk to him and he’ll ask you to gather the following items:

  • Phracon x1
  • Cyfar x5

After gathering the required items and giving them to the suspicious guy, he’ll reveal to you that he’s Field Cat Joe. He will then accept the message delivered to him, hand a reply, and warps you back to Amatsu.

Note: In order to gain access to the Einbroch Tower, you need to pay 10z to the NPC found near the tower.

Step 5: Return to Cougar Gai

After your encounter with Field Cat Joe, talk to Cougar Gai and he will ask you to bring the same items you brought to Field Cat Joe. They’re as follows:

  • Phracon x1
  • Cyfar x5

Once you hand over the required items to Cougar Gai, he will officially accept you as new member of the Ninja Guild and give you an Asura [2].

Congratulations, you are now a Ninja!
