Hey there budding adventurer! I see you’ve decided to become a super novice. Super Novices follow the way of the novice, but they take it to the next level. They are jacks of all trades, but masters of none. Their mastery of almost any skill from the other classes is superb. They can dish out damage from both physical and magical sources. Super Novices can do anything with their infallible determination to do everything.

Now that you’re on your way to becoming a super novice, there’s only one task left for you to complete and that’s passing the Super Novice Job Change Quest! Don’t fret about it because this guide will help you successfully pass the trial and finally become the super novice of your dreams.

The Super Novice Job Change Quest

Step 1: Train as a Novice until Level 45

To begin your quest to becoming a Super Novice, train until your Base Level reaches 45 and your Job Level reaches 10. It is important to be this strong because a Super Novice isn’t just a Novice. A Super Novice is the embodiment of the word “Super.”

Step 2: Proceed to Al De Baran

Al De Baran is the city where you’ll fulfill your destiny. It’s the city where your dreams will be realized. It’s the very place where you’ll transition from a meek novice to a skillful super novice.

In order to go to Al De Baran, talk to any Kafra in Geffen or Izlude and pay for the warp service to Al De Baran.

Step 3: Speak with Tozel

Speak with Tozel who is located inside a building in the southwest quadrant of Al De Baran (coordinates: aldeba_in 223,167). The said building can be found near the south bridge of the city.

Tozel will ask you to bring the following items:

  • Sticky Mucus x30
  • Resin x30

Step 4: Gather the Required Items and Bring Them Back to Tozel

Resins and Sticky Mucosae aren’t that difficult to find. You can hunt poporings and willows for them.

After gathering the required items, hand them over to Tozel and he will take them immediately. You will be presented with two dialogue options: (1) “Huh?” and (2) What is that?” Choose “What is that?” and Tozel will simply take your items without doing you any good. Choose “Huh?” and Tozel will take your items and turn you into a Super Novice. Be sure to choose the “Huh?” option!

Now that you’re a Super Novice, Tozel will give you a Pantie as a reward.

Congratulations, you are now a Super Novice!
