I've been playing "World of Warcraft" since 2008 with the launch of "The Burning Crusade." I enjoy gold-making and achievement hunting.
The Temple of Hotmogu is another fun World of Warcraft brawl to keep us entertained. For those who do not know, the WoW brawls are basically fun PvP modes which use the same old maps we know and love but with some extra twists along the way. The first brawl that was launched was the Arathi Basin map—but the twist was that everything happened during a blizzard. The blizzard meant that visibility was extremely low and surfaces were slippery as well.
There are new types of brawls released each week. Now let's take a look at the interesting twists in the Temple of Hotmogu.
This mode is quite simple but it can become quite hectic. This mode happens on the Temple of Kotmogu map and the extra modifiers are as follows:
- Haste increased
- Movement speed increased
- Respawn times decreased
This basically means faster melee hits / spells, increased movement speed so you can move around faster or get back into the fight and also decreased respawn times. The respawn times make everyone just go in blindly into the battlefield as they can return really, really fast with a 5-second respawn.
Twists to the Orbs
This brawl also has an extra twist: Once you have an Orb in your possession, a spell will appear in the middle of your screen, right above the action bars. This spell allows you to throw the Orb to a friendly target. This basically allows you to throw the Orb to another player if you are close to dying. This can ensure that your team gets a lot more points and ultimately win the match.
A Crazy, Fast-Paced Ride
At first glance it seemed like a pretty relaxed brawl but once I got into it, it quickly became a crazy ride. The increased movement speed combined with the decreased respawn time makes everything super fast-paced as everyone just goes in, dies, gets back up and repeats the whole process.
This combines with the fact that you need to have an eye on your HP at all times so you can throw the Orb if needed. And don't forget that you need to pay attention if someone threw the Orb on you, so you can prepare yourself for the enemies which will surely focus on you. For a casual player like me, it was quite hectic but I thoroughly enjoyed it as it kept me on my toes—and it felt so good to win it after several attempts.
Gameplay Video of the Brawl
Below you can find a video of me playing on my enhancement shaman in this wonderful brawl. The video is about 8 minutes long and it does not contain any commentary; it was simply recorded so you can see how hectic this brawl can get.
Everything considered this is a fun brawl which I enjoyed very much. Hectic and fast which amounts to a fun time. Let me know if you enjoyed this brawl as well and drop by in the comments with more details about your experience with this brawl.
