Here are some useful Tips, Tricks and Cheats used to win battles in the popular mobile game Clash Royale

1. The Slow Defense method

This method is very simple yet not all players like to defend.

Cards used: (Note- Customize the deck to whatever works best for you)

  • Goblin Barrel
  • Goblin Hut
  • Bomb Tower
  • Zap
  • Fireball
  • Inferno Tower
  • Poison
  • Skeleton Army

How it works:

Defense

Let your opponent place the first card, even if your elixer bar is full. Then place any card to counter your opponent, ex. the bomb tower or inferno tower. Try to keep your opponent from gaining damage on any of your towers by distracting the troops placed. With this deck I have achieved to three crown my opponent and have 0% damage on any of my towers.

Attacking

When you have countered your opponent, place your goblin hut behind one of your crown towers. It may seem as if you are not doing much damage, but this deck takes some time to build up. Once you have placed the goblin hut, keep defending as much as you can. When you have defended against your opponents attack, throw the goblin barrel on the tower you're attacking. When the barrel lands you should zap the tower, this freezes the tower for a short while and the goblins will do some damage.

Keep repeating this small attack on your opponents towers and watch how easily you gain trophies. This method will need some practice before you see major results in trophies. But the best thing about this method is that if you defend well, you won't lose any trophies :)

2.The Shield method

This method is completely different to the first method. This strategy is all about attacking and is one of my favorite tricks.

Cards used:

  • Barbarians
  • Witch
  • Minion Horde
  • Furnace
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Poison
  • Zap
  • Giant

How it works:

Defense

There isn't a solid defense strategy for this method but there are cards that can be used to counter your opponent, such as the Barbarians, Minion Horde and Furnace etc. which will help slow down or take your opponents army out.

Attacking

This is where the deck gets interesting, This is a shield deck which means that you could use the Giant as a shield while you build up an army, or just to distract your opponent by placing cards on both sides to attack both the crown towers. The combination which has worked the best for me is the Giant and the witch, The Giant takes all the damage while you build up an army behind him. Don't place too many cards behind the giant as they can be weakened by the fireball or the rocket. Place cards only when you have enough elixer as this deck costs 4.1 elixer and can take a little while to regain, and your opponent can attack your crown towers when you don't have any elixer.

3.Deadly Combo method

This is one method used by lots of players, even me. This is surely one of the best strategies in the game.

Cards used:

  • Goblins
  • Minions
  • Spear Goblins
  • Hog rider
  • Valkyrie
  • Musketeer
  • Bomber
  • Arrows

How it works:

This method is really good to use if you like to attack instead of defend. This deck is really cheap, it costs only 3.1 Elixer!

Defense

The defense for this deck is to distract the opponents cards with all the little troops. Or luring the opponents troops to the middle of the battle field which will make both crown towers start shooting arrows at the opponents troops.

Attacking

This isn't called the deadly combo for nothing. The really great combo used here is the Valkyrie and the Hog Rider. Wait for your opponent to have nothing in the way of the Valkyrie, because this will distract the Valkyrie. First place the Valkyrie and immediately after that place the Hog Rider, The Hog Rider will speed up the Valkyrie and push her to the crown tower really fast. When they both reach the crown tower, they will deal tremendous damage and while they are dealing damage place the Musketeer on the opposite side with the Spear Goblins to start attacking the other crown tower.

That is why it is called the "deadly combo".
