"Dislyte": How to Get New Characters
Cassidy is an author and a scientist who enjoys playing mobile games in his free time.
Dislyte is a pop-fantasy role-playing gacha game with mythological and musical themes. Though there is a storyline, the plot is average at best and relatively short, so most of the game focuses on character collection and enhancement.
Characters, called Espers in the game, can be obtained in rarities from 3-star to 5-star, and all are upgradable to 6 stars. 3-star characters are called Rare, 4-star characters are Epic, and 5-star characters are Legendary. Characters are divided into 4 elemental types: Inferno, Wind, Flow, and Shimmer. Inferno is strong against Wind, Wind is strong against Flow, and Flow is strong against Inferno, while Shimmer is neutral. Characters are also categorized into four classes: Fighter, Support, Controller, and Defender. In general, Fighters deal high damage, Supports provide healing and helpful buffs, Controllers debuff the enemy to slow them down and minimize their effects, and Defenders take damage and taunt the enemy.
Most characters are obtainable through the gacha system, but there are also alternative methods of obtaining some of the characters, including ripples, fusions, and the club shop. In fact, a few characters can only be obtained by these other methods. Here I describe these various methods so you can find out how to get the characters you want.
How to View Available Characters
All available characters can be viewed from the Esper Gallery screen. To access the Esper Gallery, scroll to the left of the home screen and click on Atlas, as shown above. Then choose Esper Gallery. Characters are displayed in order by rarity from 5-star to 3-star. Characters you own will be shown with a lit-up display, while those you have yet to obtain are shaded. All characters, whether or not you own them, can be clicked on to display more information such as stats and abilities.
Methods to Obtain Characters
- Starter characters/Story progression
- Echo (gacha summon)
- Ripple Dimension
- Character Fusion
- Club Shop
- Infinite Miracle
- Events
Starter Characters/Story Progression
The main character in Dislyte is Brynn, so you start out the game with her. As you complete the first couple stages, you receive Drew and Q.
As part of the tutorial, you are instructed to use the Echo gacha system for a single spin. The gacha system is described in more detail below, but this first spin is guaranteed to provide the Epic character Mona. And the last of the free starter heroes, Helena, is received as a reward for completing one of the first chapters.
Echo Gacha System
The summoning system in Dislyte is called Echo. This includes both gacha summoning and character shard (ripple) summoning. To access the Echo summoning screen, select Echo on the home screen. The default Echo screen is Record Player, which is gacha summoning. To summon via ripples, which I will talk about later, click on Record Stand.
Gacha summoning requires Records, which come in various types. Most summoning is done using Gold Records, which can be obtained via daily login bonuses, completing missions, story chapters, Cube Miracle levels, Infinite Miracle levels, and bounties, and purchasing from shops with various currencies (Nexus Crystals, Supply Vouchers, Cube Points, or Club Points).
Gacha summon rates are shown below.

As you can see, summon rates for Legendary characters are only 1%, which is pretty low. There is also only a 9% chance to obtain an Epic character. Most summons will result in Rare characters.
The probabilities also vary for the elemental class of the character. Inferno, Flow, and Wind characters are all summoned at the same rate (31% of the time), while Shimmer characters are more rare (with a 7% rate).
Dislyte does provide guaranteed summon rewards (also known as pity summons). You are guaranteed to summon a Legendary Esper every 120 summons and an Epic Esper every 20 summons. Summoning one resets the countdown to your next guaranteed Legendary or Epic Esper.
You are also guaranteed to receive a Legendary Esper in the first 10 summons. This Esper will be either Li Ling or Tang Xuan.
There is no benefit to doing 10x summons, so feel free to summon whenever you have a Gold Record.
In addition to Gold Records, you can also obtain Records (or fragments to combine into a Record) for each elemental class. This will limit the summon to only characters of that particular class, although the Legendary, Epic, and Rare rates remain the same.
Fragments can be obtained in various ways, but the most common method of obtaining them is through the club Record Assist Corner.
The Record Assist Corner can be accessed by clicking on Help on the Club screen (once you join a club). This allows you to post a Wish Card for one of the 3 primary types of elements (Inferno, Wind, or Flow). Each Wish Card is filled up by 3 Wish Stickers, which can be obtained by completing club missions and in the Friend Shop. You can only donate one Wish Sticker to a club member's Wish Card (including your own) per day, and you receive Club Points for donating them. Once a Wish Card has all 3 Wish Stickers, you can redeem it for a few elemental Record Fragments of the same type as the Wish Card (and sometimes you will also receive Shimmer Record Fragments as well).
You will need 20 Record Fragments to perform an elemental summon, and this is also done on the Echo screen.
Ripple Dimension
Another method of obtaining characters is by getting character ripples from Ripple Dimensions. These are stages that open up at random when players complete Ritual Miracle or Sonic Miracle levels. Each Ripple Dimension is for a different character and allows you to collect character ripples.
Ripple Dimensions for characters also available from gacha summoning include:
- Bardon
- Berenice
- Brynn
- Chang Pu
- David
- Freddy
- Jeanne
- Leon
- Li Ao
- Tang Yun
- Unky Chai
- Zelmer
There are also two Ripple Dimension-exclusive characters: the 3-star character Ye Suhua and the 4-star character Dhalia. Dhalia is the only 4-star character currently available through Ripple Dimensions.
When a player spawns a Ripple Dimension, it is revealed to friends and club members in the chat. 15 minutes later, it is revealed to the general public, also in the chat. To gain access to the Ripple Dimension, you need to keep an eye on the chat and click on Ripple Dimensions as soon as they pop up. 3-star character Ripple Dimensions only allow 20 players to access them, and Dhalia's Ripple Dimension allows access to 30 players. You have to click on the Ripple Dimension link as fast as possible to secure your spot before another player snags it. Once you have access, you have until the Ripple Dimension expires to explore it to gain ripple shards. They stay open for 60 minutes in total, or 45 minutes after being revealed to the general chat.
Ripple Dimensions for 3-star characters allow you to collect 5 shards. You need 30 to summon a 3-star character. Dhalia's Ripple Dimension allows you to collect 8 shards, and you need 40 to summon her.
To summon characters from ripples, go to Echo and select Record Stand as shown in the image before the Echo gacha system description above.
Character Fusion
After reaching player level 25, you gain access to Esper Fusion. This is a function that enables you to obtain the Epic character Fabrice and the Legendary character Gabrielle by combining (destroying) other lower star Espers. To view Esper Fusion, scroll to the left of the home screen and select War Room. Then click Esper Fusion and choose the Esper you want to create.
Fabrice requires:
- Ascension IV Berenice
- Any ascension IV Inferno Esper
- Any ascension IV Wind Esper
- Any ascension IV Flow Esper
Gabrielle requires:
- Ascension V Fabrice
- Any ascension V Inferno Esper
- Any ascension V Wind Esper
- Any ascension V Flow Esper
Club Shop
The Rare Shimmer character Melanie can be obtained from the Club Shop. 5 ripples can be purchased for 200 Club Points, earned for completing club missions and donating Wish Stickers as described above. 15 of Melanie's ripples can be purchased per week, and you need 30 to summon her from the Record Stand screen of Echo summoning.
Infinite Miracle
The Legendary Esper Lucas can be obtained by completing all 100 floors of the Spatial Tower in Infinite Miracle. Infinite Miracle is accessed by selecting Trials in the home screen.
Events
And finally, you can obtain the Epic character Lynn from a beginner event by completing a set of missions. Whether other characters will also be available from events is so far unknown.
