Dragons World is a 3D dragon breeding game with excellent animated battles and myriad adorable fire-breathing creatures ready to be adopted and nurtured. While gameplay is similar to Dragon City, there are a few new features sprinkled here and there. A nice addition is the perk selection feature that asks players to choose a special perk after upgrading their dragon to level 3, level 6 and so on.

The game’s ridiculously simple battle system makes fighting enemy monsters thoroughly enjoyable. Arena battles against online players are randomly chosen, so you must have an Internet connection to fight in the Dragon League. If you want to win battles, breed advanced creatures and create a lovely park, then follow these Dragons World tips and strategy guide. You will also find a handy breeding guide at the end of this hub.

Build More Greenhouses to Quickly Grow Food for Your Pets

Build at least three small greenhouses, and plant mushrooms, blackberries, and pumpkins in each greenhouse. This will really help you feed your dragons faster. You can also purchase a large greenhouse (which unlocks at level 10). The larger one helps you plant more than one resource, thus helping you collect and stock more food for those cute fire-breathers.

Try producing blackberries in all three greenhouses; if you do that, it will take only 5 minutes to grow 225 Food. You can also try planting pumpkins in all three, but then it will take 30 minutes to harvest a total of 750 Food. Alternatively, you can harvest more food in the large greenhouse as it combines all three small greenhouses into one.

Take Advantage of Perks and Skills

At every third level (when your dragon is at level 3, level 6, and so on), when you are feeding your dragon, you will be asked to choose a perk. You are offered a choice between two perks, which can be anything from increased breeding speed, to additional gold or food, to improved obstacle-clearing speed. Each dragon has its own unique perk.

Dragons also learn new skills when they reach level 4 and beyond. Keep an eye on dragon skills and take advantage of them in battles.

How to Defeat Dragons: Strategy Guide

You will be pitted against rival players in online matches. The Dragon League will allow you to battle lower and higher-level players. Before fighting creatures in the arena, select your team of fire-breathing monsters and then click on a player profile. Defeating all players in Dragon League will earn you three free crystals. Here are a few tips that can help you win battles in the League:

  • Make sure you have upgraded the monsters on your team up to level 4. Monsters younger than that aren't available for combat. Also, at level 4, most creatures unlock special skills which can be used in the arena. You also have a chance to use bonus skills, but they cost crystals. For example, a fire dragon’s super attack will cost 10 crystals.
  • Battling enemy monsters is quite simple. When it’s your turn, simply tap on a skill and watch your cute pet monster attack the enemy. While fighting, you can switch to a new monster, but you will lose a turn. Select a dragon stronger than the enemy creature.
  • Recruit creatures belonging to different types of elements (fire, earth, water etc.) in your team. While battling, note down the element below the enemy dragon’s health bar and switch to a dragon with an elemental affinity stronger than the enemy dragon. If you don’t have any, then select a dragon with the same element. But do not choose a dragon with an elemental affinity weaker than the enemy creature’s elemental affinity. Use this handy reckoner to find out which element is stronger than the other:

Ways to Earn Free Crystals

Unlock achievements to collect rewards. The rewards can be in the form of gold and crystals. While most achievements will earn you a single crystal, some achievements like “Breed a Rock Dragon/Steam Dragon” give you three to five crystals. To get a full list of achievements, tap on the badge-with-ribbon icon at the top left corner of the screen.

Invite friends to win two to five crystals. The “invite a friend” feature is available in the Quest menu at the bottom-left corner of the screen. Complete quests to earn rewards. Fight in the Dragon League for a sure-shot crystal reward.

Log into your Facebook account to earn five crystals and unlock additional features.

Clear obstacles like Ice Blocks and Magic Stones to earn three crystals. But you will need to add three dragons belonging to the same element to remove them. For example, you will need three Fire Dragons to clear Ice Block (reward: 10,000 gold and three crystals).

Breeding Combinations

Dragons World offers a delightful list of dragons that can be created by combining two dragons with different elemental types. You may need more than three creatures to create advanced monsters. For example, to breed a Predatory Dragon, you will need to combine Fire, Earth and Nature monsters.

How to Use These Breeding Tables

Click on the image(s) below and right-click on it, then select “Open Image in New Tab." You can then make a printout of the table for future reference.

I have divided this breeding guide into “Basic" and "Advanced." Basic monsters can be created by combining two dragons; advanced monsters can be created by combining more than two creatures.

One way to breed a desert dragon would be to try a lava and Phoenix dragon. I got the desert dragon the first try without even expecting to get a 3 element dragon!

@Wade - You mean essences? You have to buy the magic lab, put a level 10 dragon in it, and it will split the essences.

@Kyle - The sparkle dragon is a limited time dragon. From my understanding, if you breed a cave dragon, then you can get the sparkle dragon. That's what I'm trying for now, actually.

@Zio34 - I actually got the desert dragon when trying to get the cave dragon! I used a lava dragon with 15% chance of rare dragon perk, and an air dragon with 10% chance of rare dragon perk. If it's a longer breeding time, then it'll be a rarer dragon.

Zio34, breed a lava dragon (since it is earth and fire) and an air dragon.

Or do a phoenix and an earth.

Or do a rock and fire.

Bred a Steam Dragon out of a Snow Dragon and a Fire Dragon myself. What dragons are bred does not seem to matter, only the elements to which they belong.

    How to breed a fullmoondragon?

If anyone knows how to bred a desert dragon. Let me know! :) I keep trying rock and fire and I keep getting phoenix dragons. Or lava dragons. And I also got another rock dragon. Usually opposing elements dragons will take around 15 hours. With the exception in of the steam dragon being extremely hard to get takes 18 hours and the full moon dragon with around 30 hours. I'm only level 16 so I'm not very sure. If you want a rare dragon go for the rock dragon. I have two so it was easiest to me. My first rare was the Chinese dragon. It takes a phoenix dragon and water dragon. The rock is a Crystal and air. When I got my rock dragon ii said to myself aw its only a gryphon dragon. But hey you can't always tell what you're gonna get. I can tel what dragons I'm going to get. For example I really want the gladiator dragon (aka glatiator dragons can't fight.). OK I breed a fairy dragon and an air dragon. So first time I only got another fairy dragon. Next time I get a light magic dragon. And last time I get the glatiator dragon. If this dragon takes 24 hours. I don't know what other dragon it would be but I would just assume that it's a glatiator dragon. Also while breeding rare dragons you may run into dragons that you don't have. Common or rare. Now I thought I wouldn't get my Chinese dragon on my first try but I just threw my phoenix dragon in there and a water dragon to see what comes out. It was sort of laggy so the numbers didn't appear right away. When they popped up I saw 20 hours. Lol I need to make sure I don't acsidentally sell my rare dragon again. I always do that.

I got the bush dragon seam dragon rock dragon agile dragon and Chinese dragon. Brush dragon=water lilly and magic. Steam dragon=lava and water. Rock dragon=air and crystal. Agile=spring and air. Chinese dagon =phoenix and water. All of these dragons are at least required to be level 9-14. These also can all be highered chance with chance of a rare dragon. Although you can get them all with or without the perk. I got my brush dragon on my 5th try. My steam dragon on my 14th. My rock dragon on my 2nd. My agile and Chinese dragon on my first. None of thee dragons had any chance of a rare dragon perk. You also may have received other rare dragons like the swamp dragon or obsidian dragon while in the prosese of thee dragons. Swamp dragons also have a chance of getting the 25$ coastal dragon. Note these dragon like the coastal dragon scorched dragon and sun rock dragon may be caught while breeding rare dragons with three or opposing elements. These dragons do not have to be bought to get them. You also can breed them. The pangolin dragon is the only other dragon with four elements. Like the Aztec dragon, the pangolin dragon is bred with a swamp plus a magic or grass and pearl. Aztec dragons. Are bred with a sahpire dragon and flower dragon. All of thee dragons have been bred with these combos. Trust me I have tried all of them and I have gottan all of there dragons. You must be patient.

Breeding chart is a bit off. You can't breed opposing element dragons. For example, Fire+water are opposing. If you click on "Fire", on the next column over the single element "water" dragons will be blacked out and it will say "opposing elements" over it.

The only way to get those rare dragons (Such as the steam dragon) is to try to breed multiple element dragons. The parents can be like this: Lava dragon+ water dragon, since the lava dragon has the fire element in it, but it isn't solely fire. Also, make sure you have the " chance of rare dragon" perk on both parents so you have a better shot at getting the dragon you want.
