Mobile Legends Chou Item Build Guide

Do you like using Chou in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang? If your answer is yes, then this guide is for you!

As the Kung Fu Boy, Chou needs to be equipped with the proper items in order for him to exceed his limits. Fortunately, this guide provides item build ideas for you to use so you can lead Chou to victory.

Without further ado, here are three item builds that synergize well with Chou’s astounding martial arts techniques. You can follow them perfectly or even tweak them a little bit. Do whatever it takes to be a legend!

Pure Tenacity Item Build

Chou is the embodiment of tenacity. He’s always persevering and immensely determined. This is the reason why one of the best item builds for him is an item build that highlights his tenacity.

The pure tenacity item build focuses on jacking up Chou’s survivability. It offers a lot of mobility, significant HP regeneration, remarkable cooldown reduction, supportive and debuffing effects, and some physical defense. The goal of this item build is to make sure that Chou is the last man standing on the battlefield whether it’s a victory or a defeat for the team.

While the pure tenacity item build doesn’t build much on Chou’s fighter role, it does turn him into a supportive attacker. Use this build if you want Chou to really last long in battle as he deals various crowd control effects and debuffs against the enemies and delivers them to their doom.

1. Rapid Boots

  • +80 Movement Speed (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Side Effect) – Decreases the Movement Speed of the hero by 40 points whenever damage is dealt or received. This speed reduction lasts for 5 seconds.

2. Thunder Belt

  • +800 HP
  • +30 Mana Regeneration
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • +40 Physical Defense
  • Unique Passive (Thunderbolt) – Deals bonus attack damage equal to 2% of the hero’s total HP with the next basic attack after using a skill. This unique passive also slows down enemy targets and their surrounding allies for 1.5 seconds on hit. This effect can only trigger once every 1.5 seconds.

3. Sky Guardian Helmet

  • +1550 HP
  • +100 HP Regeneration
  • Unique Passive (Recovery) – Regenerates 1.5% of the hero’s total HP. This effect can be further improved by killing enemy heroes or making assists. Each kill raises the regenerative rate by 0.4% while each assist raises it by 0.2%. The regenerative rate can surge by as much as 3.5%. This effect wears off after 5 seconds of the hero taking damage.

4. Dominance Ice

  • +500 Mana
  • +70 Physical Defense
  • +10% Critical Chance Reduction
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Arctic Cold) – Slows down nearby enemies by 5% of their Movement Speed and 30% of their Attack Speed.

5. Wings of the Apocalypse Queen

  • +15 Physical Attack
  • +1000 HP
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • Unique Passive (Demonize) – Reduces the damage that the hero receives by 50% and increases the Lifesteal effect by 30% for 5 seconds when HP drops below 40%. This effect has a cooldown of 50 seconds.

6. Immortality

  • +800 HP
  • +40 Magical Defense
  • Unique Passive (Immortal) – Resurrects the hero 2 seconds after dying and gains 15% HP and a shield that can absorb 300-1000 points of damage for 3 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 180 seconds.

Kung Fu Master Item Build

Since Chou is a kung fu boy, it is reasonable that he works really well with a highly offensive item build such as this kung fu master item build!

As its name implies, the kung fu master item build is all about offense and physical attack power! All of the items listed here (except for the Rapid Boots) significantly improves the damaging prowess of Chou’s basic attack and skills. On the other hand, the Rapid Boots ensures that Chou can chase enemies only for them to face head-on his unstoppable fury of punches and kicks.

Combined with Chou’s incapacitating skills, the kung fu master item is truly a force to be reckoned with. Enemies won’t even know what hit them!

1. Blade of the Heptaseas

  • +75 Physical Attack
  • +300 HP
  • Unique Passive (Steamroll) – Reduces the defense of enemies by 25 points for 3 seconds when hitting them with damaging skills.

2. Rapid Boots

  • +80 Movement Speed (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Side Effect) – Decreases the Movement Speed of the hero by 40 points whenever damage is dealt or received. This speed reduction lasts for 5 seconds.

3. Hunter Strike

  • +100 Physical Attack
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • Unique Passive (Hunt) – Attacks an enemy 5 times in a row and increases the hero’s Movement Speed by 30% for 3 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

4. Endless Battle

  • +65 Physical Attack
  • +25 Mana Regeneration
  • +250 HP
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • +5% Movement Speed
  • +15% Physical Lifesteal
  • Unique Passive (Divine Justice) – Deals extra true damage equal to 85% of Physical Attack with the next basic attack after using a skill. This effect has a cooldown of 1.5 seconds.
  • Unique Passive (Chase Fate) – Increases the hero’s Movement Speed by 15% whenever Divine Justice is triggered.

5. Malefic Roar

  • +60 Physical Attack
  • +40 Physical Penetration
  • Unique Passive (Armor Buster) – Causes basic attacks to ignore 20% of the defensive armor of turrets.

6. Blade of Despair

  • +170 Physical Attack
  • +5% Movement Speed
  • Unique Passive (Despair) – Raises the hero’s physical attack damage by 25% for 2 seconds after attacking enemies that have less than 50% HP.

Fists of Steel Item Build

The fists of steel item build is similar to the pure tenacity item build, but more defensive! If the pure tenacity item build turns Chou into a supportive fighter, then this item build turns him into a tanky fighter.

This build offers a lot of defense! It makes sure that Chou can parry a lot of physical attacks while he lets his allies dish out the damage. Just be careful when you’re participating in a clash because there’s a limit to what Chou can handle.

Overall, the fists of steel item build is the build to choose if you want to tank a lot of damage while also returning a significant portion of it. Always remember not to charge towards the enemies alone. The best strategy for this build is to rally your allies behind you and let them deal the blows as you tank the damage from the enemies.

1. Antique Cuirass

  • +920 HP
  • +54 Physical Defense
  • +30 HP Regeneration
  • Unique Passive (Deter) – Reduces the attack power of enemy heroes by 6% for 2 seconds whenever they attack your hero. This effect can stack up to 3 times.

2. Warrior Boots

  • +22 Physical Defense
  • +40 Movement Speed (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Valor) – Raises Physical Defense by 5 points for 3 seconds every time a basic attack is received from the enemies. This effect can stack up to 5 times for a total increase of 25 points in Physical Defense.

4. Blade Armor

  • +90 Physical Defense
  • Unique Passive (Vengeance) – Deals 25% of the physical attack of enemies as physical damage against them when you receive damage from their basic attacks.

5. Brute Force Breastplate

  • +770 HP
  • +45 Physical Defense
  • Unique Passive (Brute Force) – Increases physical and magical defenses by 4% and movement speed by 3% for 4 seconds whenever you land an attack on an enemy. This effect can stack up to 5 times.

6. Dominance Ice

  • +500 Mana
  • +70 Physical Defense
  • +10% Critical Chance Reduction
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Arctic Cold) – Slows down nearby enemies by 5% of their Movement Speed and 30% of their Attack Speed.
