Demon Rage Item Build

This build has a nice blend of offense and defense. In order to keep the demonic rage of Martis alive, it is necessary to raise his durability along with his attack power. That way, he can sustain his offense without worrying about getting killed easily.

As far as skill usage goes, this build promises a whooping 30% cooldown reduction. That’s the highest cooldown reduction among the item builds listed here! As such, it is for the best that with this build, you use Martis’ skills as much as you can.

Don’t focus too much on Martis’ basic attack. This build clearly has its focus on his deadly skills. With increased damage, bonus Lifesteal, added defense, reduced cooldown, and enhanced Spell Vampirism, this build was crafted with Martis’ lethal combination of skills in mind.

As the name implies, the Demon Rage Item Build is all about rage! Used properly, this build could render all enemies unable to counterattack as you wipe them off the face of the planet.

1. Haas’s Claw

  • +70 Physical Attack
  • +20% Lifesteal (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Insanity) – Grants an extra 10% Lifesteal when HP drops below 40%.

2. Warrior Boots

  • +22 Armor
  • +40 Movement Speed (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Valor) – Raises Physical Defense by 5 points for 3 seconds every time a basic attack is received from the enemies. This effect can stack up to 5 times for a total increase of 25 points in Physical Defense.

3. Endless Battle

  • +65 Physical Attack
  • +25 Mana Regeneration
  • +250 HP
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • +5% Movement Speed

  • Unique Passive (Despair) – Raises the hero’s physical attack damage by 30% for 2 seconds after attacking enemies that have less than 50% HP.

Ogre Rush Item Build

Rather than skills, the Ogre Rush Item Build focuses on Martis’ basic attack. Since Martis has a passive skill that increases his attack speed by as much as 60%, this build capitalizes that effect. As the word ‘rush’ suggests, this build is all about attack speed!

Despite the fact that this build is all about attack speed, you still shouldn’t forget about using Martis’ skills. In fact, you should use them all the more in conjunction with his basic attack. The more skills you use, the more attack speed you gain.

Although this build only offers a measly 10% cooldown reduction, Martis’ skills actually refresh pretty quick. Furthermore, the existence of critical damage and rate increasing items here already makes Martis very powerful. The attack speed increasing items here are also no joke!

Just be careful. This build renders Martis very vulnerable to damage. He becomes so flimsy that he can be killed easily if you don’t exercise extreme caution while roaming the battlefield. In order to counter this, be sure to always stay close to your allies and gank enemy heroes only in a one-by-one basis.

1. Hunter Strike

  • +100 Physical Attack
  • +10% Cooldown Reduction
  • Unique Passive (Hunt) – Attacks an enemy 5 times in a row and increases the hero’s Movement Speed by 30% for 2 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

2. Swift Boots

  • +15% Attack Speed
  • +40 Movement Speed (Unique)

3. Berserker’s Fury

  • +65 Physical Attack
  • +25% Critical Chance
  • +40% Critical Damage (Unique)
  • Unique Passive (Doom) – Increases the hero’s Physical Attack by 5% for 2 seconds after landing a critical hit.

4. Scarlet Phantom

  • +30 Physical Attack
  • +20% Attack Speed
  • +25% Critical Chance
  • Unique Passive (Frenzy) – Increases Attack Speed by 30% and Critical Chance by 5% for 2 seconds after landing a critical hit.

5. Corrosion Scythe

  • +50 Physical Attack
  • +5% Movement Speed
  • +25% Attack Speed
  • Unique Passive (Corrosion) – Grants a 50% chance of decreasing the Movement Speed of enemies by 40% with each basic attack. This effect only provides a 20% decrease in Movement Speed for long-ranged basic attacks.
  • Unique Passive (Impulse) – Deals damage to enemies with each basic attack and increases Attack Speed by 8% for 3 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.

6. Blade of Despair

  • +170 Physical Attack
  • +5% Movement Speed
  • Unique Passive (Despair) – Raises the hero’s physical attack damage by 30% for 2 seconds after attacking enemies that have less than 50% HP.

Unbreakable Oni

The Unbreakable Oni Item Build provides Martis with a lot of defensive power! Given so, Martis gains the freedom to scramble around the battlefield without any worry about untimely death. In fact, this build gives Martis the chance to farm experience and gold from jungle monsters as easy as possible. With the Beast Killer in tow, it becomes effortless for Martis to complete the rest of the items for this set.

Even though this build has defense as its focus, it actually doesn’t skimp on attack power. There’s actually a reasonable balance between defense and attack power in this build. But of course, defense is still the priority!

Once you complete this set, you can exchange the Beast Killer with a Blade of Despair if you so wish. Doing so will provide Martis more damage for the late stages of the game. If you effectively farmed for experience and gold in the early and middle stages of the game, then I doubt you should worry about anything else in the late stages of the game. Especially with Immortality as one of your core items, there is nothing to fear anymore once you complete this build. You are unbreakable!

1. Beast Killer

  • +20 Armor
  • +20 Magic Resistance
  • +30% Damage to Monsters (Unique)

  • Unique Passive (Gorge) – Increases physical and magic defense by 3 points every time a jungle monster is killed. This effect can stack up to 10 times. Also, the “Retribution” battle spell becomes applicable to enemy heroes by having the effect of reducing their Movement Speed by 70%, which gradually decays within 3 seconds. Using “Retribution” also temporarily grants your hero a shield that’s based on the hero’s total HP.

5. Rose Gold Meteor

  • +60 Physical Attack
  • +30 Magic Resistance
  • +5% Lifesteal
  • Unique Passive (Lifeline) – Grants a shield that can absorb 510-1350 damage (increases with level) for 3 seconds when the hero’s HP drops below 30%. This effect has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

6. Immortality

  • +800 HP
  • +40 Magic Resistance
  • Unique Passive (Immortal) – Resurrects the hero 2 seconds after dying and gains 15% HP and a shield that can absorb 300-1000 points of damage for 3 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 180 seconds.
