Who is Watchdog Man?

Watchdog Man is an S-Class Hero and the Guardian of Q-City. He appears to be a young man wearing a full-body dog costume, a canine disposition, and a deadpan expression. Among the 17 S-Class Heroes in the Hero Association, he ranks 12th.

Despite his cuddly and furry appearance, Watchdog Man’s power is the real deal! He wields monstrous strength, incredible speed, phenomenal reflexes, and immense agility. And just like dogs, he possesses a very keen sense of smell and hearing. Even though he fights only with simple hand-to-hand combat, the compelling might of his attacks never fails in proving how much of a beast he is during battle!

As the Guardian of Q-City, which is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the world, Watchdog Man seems to be unfazed by any kind of threat, especially the danger posed by Mysterious Beings. After all, he has never lost a fight against monsters before.

How Strong is Watchdog Man in One Punch Man: The Strongest?

In this mobile game, Watchdog Man is an SSR (Specially Super Rare) unit who is a member of the Grappler series and the Hero faction. His roles are the following:

  • Row Attacker: He can deal devastating HP-based damage to all enemy units in a row with his ultimate skill.
  • Energy Sealer: Every time he uses his ultimate skill to attack, enemy units get their Energy sealed, reducing their chances of retaliating with their own ultimate skills.
  • Motivator: His passive skill provides extra Energy for the whole team to use for a few rounds at the start of the battle.

This guide explores and details Watchdog Man’s skills in One Punch Man: The Strongest.

Watchdog Man’s Skill Set

Canine Pounce (Attack Skill)

Swift Assault (Ultimate Skill)

Bestial Stance (Passive Skill)

Canine Pounce (Attack Skill)

This is a single-target attack skill that deals 150% of Watchdog Man’s ATK as damage.

After the attack, it heals Watchdog Man’s HP by 30% of his MAX HP.

For a basic attack skill, Canine Pounce has one of the highest ATK multiplier in the game. A basic attack skill that can deal 150% ATK as damage is no joke! You only have to make sure that Watchdog Man’s ATK is high enough to actually put some weight on his pounces. You can do this by gearing him up with ATK-based equipment and/or buffing him up with damage-increasing effects.

Let’s also not forget that this basic attack skill heals Watchdog Man’s HP by a significant amount. This is a big plus when it comes to trying to survive until the end of the battle.

Swift Assault (Ultimate Skill)

This is a multiple-target ultimate skill that hits 5 times and deals damage equal to 25% of Watchdog Man’s MAX HP to an entire row.

It has a 100% percent chance of inflicting Fear on enemy units. Enemy units that are afflicted with Fear gets 2 Energy sealed for 1 round.

Swift Assault’s damage potential relies solely on Watchdog Man’s HP. The higher his MAX HP is, the higher the damage he can deal to all enemy units in an entire row. Plus, this ultimate skill inflicts Fear, which seals some of an enemy team’s Energy. This makes him a real threat in PvP battle scenarios.

In order to unleash the full potential of this ultimate skill, it is best to invest in HP-based gears and gear sets. Having ally units that have HP-increasing effects in your team also helps a lot.

Bestial Stance (Passive Skill)

This passive skill grants Impetus on the whole team at the start of the battle. Impetus grants 2 extra Energy for 2 rounds.

At the start of the battle, Watchdog Man and an ally unit on the same column gains an increase in HP by 25% for 3 rounds.

Furthermore, when Watchdog Man receives fatal damage, he revives with 20% of his MAX HP. This revival effect automatically triggers for up to 2 times in a battle.

Bestial Stance render Watchdog Man really bulky. But that’s not all there is to it, because this passive skill also renders him destructive!

This passive skill harmonizes well with his ultimate skill. The increase in HP for a few rounds drastically increases his damaging prowess. Just be sure to finish everything up quickly. Once the HP-increasing effect of this Bestial Stance runs out, Watchdog Man’s damage plummets. His bulkiness still remains, however, as he can revive with a decent amount of HP a few times with this passive skill and recover HP with his basic attack skill.

The Impetus effect of this passive skill, on the other hand, really helps ally units to unleash their ultimate skills in the first few rounds. As we all know, extra Energy is always welcome, especially at the start of battles.
