Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes: 5 Characters We Want To See

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens has taken the world by storm, and everyone seems to be on the bandwagon. Following on from the new Star Wars film, Galaxy of Heroes has released an update involving the release of some brand new characters, as inspired by TFA.

The new Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes characters that have been released are the following:

  • First Order Officer
  • First Order Stormtrooper
  • Captain Phasma
  • Finn
  • Rey
  • Poe Dameron
  • Kylo Ren

I absolutely loved the film and I think this new set of characters really does the film justice in the mobile RPG game, Galaxy of Heroes. I'm farming Kylo Ren shards on a daily basis to unlock him as soon as possible without spending any real world money. I'm enjoying Captain Phasma's leader ability and I've already lost a number of battles against teams using Rey! As for the rest of the new characters that have hit the SWGOH cantina, I'm not all that excited. I would have liked to have been able to unlock General Hux instead of 'First Order Officer' - I feel Hux has been hard-done-by here. With Kylo Ren and Phasma both being released, it seems the poor General has been sadly overlooked. This is pretty unfair considering Phasma's lacklustre role in The Force Awakens, compared to General Hux and Kylo Ren's obvious friction shown in the film. I feel Hux deserves a playable character on Galaxy of Heroes! Anyone else? Let me know in the comments.

Anyway, the release of the new characters (and lack of General Hux) has got me thinking about who else I'd like to see added to the list of unlockable Galaxy of Heroes characters. So without further ado, here's a list of the 5 Star Wars characters I think should be next to join the Galaxy of Heroes game!

5. Nien Numb

Nien Numb, a.k.a everyone's favourite Sullustan, deserves at least a cameo in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. Although a very minor character, Nien Numb deserves some recognition with him being Lando Carlissian's co-pilot in the original trilogy, and a straighter pilot in The Force Awakens. Plus, every Star Wars game needs a Sullustan.

4. Commander Cody

Although we already have the Clone Commander character in our new favourite Star Wars RPG, I do think it would be pretty cool to see Commander Cody as an unlockable character. He could even have some Jedi and/or Republic turn-meter synergies (I've really thought about this one, can you tell?)

3. Bossk

I've included Bossk simply because it's pretty unfair to include IG-88 and neglect this reptilian bounty hunter. Bossk is seen in the original trilogy alongside Boba Fett, IG-88 and a couple other bounty hunters in the presence of Darth Vader. I think it would be awesome if Bossk could be added to the game in the next update. He'd be a ridiculously good addition to a squad playing on Scoundrel synergies. And with Greedo, Cad Bane, IG-88 and Boba Fett making a 4-man-team of ferocious bounty hunters, there's one final place available, and I think Bossk would fit perfectly.

2. Jar Jar Binks

Hold on! Don't leave the page yet! I have a very good reason for including Jar Jar in this countdown of characters we would love to see on Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. The only reason I've include Jar Jar here is simply because I would love to defeat him over and over again. Other that the simple reason of killing Jar Jar Binks, there's no other reason he should be added to Galaxy of Heroes.

Actually, thinking about it, perhaps we should just leave him out of it...

1. Jabba the Hutt

Now how cool would it be to have Jabba the Hutt on Galaxy of Heroes? Of course, his chunky frame would take up a lot of the screen space and the other characters in your team may struggle for room, but it would be pretty wicked to have Jabba in a squad alongside some of the bounty hunters. He'd also be a great boss in one of the light side missions, and he'd no doubt be a tank with a ton of health!

I'd also like to add that, personally, I think 'Stormtrooper Han' is a pretty awful character choice. In the next update it would be brilliant if Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes fans got to see an original Han Solo character face off against his old nemesis, Jabba.

Actually, Jabba the Hutt is in the game as seen at the very beginning of it

Thankfully Yoda and Cody are both in now! Still waiting on others. Jango Fett strikes me as surprisingly absent atm.

Wow I can't believe I forgot about Yoda! I'm disappointed in myself... Here's hoping he's added to the game soon! Strange that he's on the loading screen...

How could Yoda not make the top of this list? I'd also like to see R2-D2, Mara Jade, and a Destroyer Droid
