1. Fire Ball Build

This is the most common Sorceress build that is suitable for beginners. The build's advantage is its simplicity combined with low mana cost, high damage per second, long range, and reasonable radius. It is a popular build in Diablo II: Resurrected.

Skills

  • Fire Ball (Max): Can be unlocked during early levels. You'll be using this until endgame. This skill can deal large damage with a low mana cost.
  • FIre Bolt (Max): The first skill that you'll be learning. Max this to increase the damage of Fireball.
  • Meteor (Max): You can use this for nuking enemies. Max this to increase the damage of Fireball.
  • Fire Mastery (Max): For greatly increasing your fire damage.
  • Teleport (1 point or more): All Sorceresses should have this. It's the best skill for fast traveling and escaping danger.

The remainder of your skill points should go to the following skills. It's up to you on how you're going to distribute them.

  • Static Field: For reducing the health of big bosses with high life.

  • Ice Bolt (Max): One of your early level damage dealing skills. Max this to increase the damage of Frozen Orb.
  • Cold Mastery (Max): Greatly reduces the enemy's cold resistance. Max this skill for best results.
  • Energy Shield (Max): Absorbs a percentage of damage. The Sorceress need this skill since it's a glass cannon. Maxing the skill will provide 75% damage absorption, which is really good defensive skill.

The remainder of your skills should be distributed on these skills depending on your personal preference.

  • Teleport: The most useful utility skill in the game. This will let you instantly travel to a pointed location.
  • Static Field: It reduces an enemy's health by taking 25% of its life. If you think about it, the skill is really powerful on bosses that have a tremendous amount of health. Just take note that this skill cannot a kill an enemy. Leveling up Static Field will only increase its radius.

How to Break the Enemy's Immunity

This article will also cover on how to deal with monster immunity since Sorceress doesn't have a skill for breaking immunity. The class heavily relies on elements to deal damage.

  • Get Infinity Rune Word (Ber, Mal, Ber, Ist). The most important attribute of Infinity Rune is that it grants its wearers Conviction Aura from Paladin. This can break a monster's immunity. It can also reduce an enemy's lightning resistance, so a lightning-based build will greatly benefit from this rune word. Infinity Rune Word can be placed on polearms. That's why the next step is to get a mercenary that can wield a polearm.
  • Hire a Desert Mercenary. Desert Mercenaries can be hired on Act 2. They're the only mercenary that can equip a polearm, which you'll be placing your Infinity Rune Word on.
