Once you enter The Battlefields area during the quest Machines of War, where you are first tasked with crossing the Bridge of Korsikk, look around the snow covered fields for a dying guardsman that has a blue exclamation mark over his head. He will be labeled Guard of the Keep, and upon activating him, he will talk to you briefly before dying. Unlike most of the journals, the book will not actually drop, instead directly unlocking the journal entry after his brief speech is over.
2. Orders from Azmodan, Part 1Click thumbnail to view full-size
The first of Azmodan's battle order journals can be found inside a Messenger of Azmodan in Skycrown Battlements, during The Siege of Bastion's Keep quest.
Make sure the right quest is active!
The messenger has the body of a deceased Hellflyer (the blue winged molok creatures) and has a tendency to move around quite a bit in terms of where its found on the level, but tends to be somewhere in the first half.
*Note on the orders of Azmodan: Which journal drops is actually dependent on the active quest rather than the location you find the messenger. This means you can find the later journals, off of this messenger or any other, if the quest mentioned in this guide for that journal is currently active.
3. Orders from Azmodan, Part 2Click thumbnail to view full-size
Once you reach the next area, the Stonefort, with the quest Turning the Tides active, you will be able to find another blue slain Hellyflyer that you can open as a container, which will drop part 2 of Azmodan's orders. Azmodan decides to talk some smack about his brother Belial in this communique.
4. Orders from Azmodan, Part 3Click thumbnail to view full-size
While you have the quest The Breached Keep active, search all around the Keep Depths level 1 for a deceased Demon Soldier, which doubles as a container just like the Dead Guardsman and search the body to have part 3 of Azmodan's orders fall out. This guy tends to be located out of the way and tends to have some dead guardsmen around him, so make sure to check quite a bit.
5. Orders from Azmodan, Part 4Click thumbnail to view full-size
The fourth part in the series of Azmodan's orders is found of another Demon Soldier corpse, again labeled as Messenger of Azmodan. It will be located somewhere on the open fields of The Battlefields area, while the quest Machines of War is active, during the "Cross the Bridge of Korsikk" objective.
6. Orders from Azmodan, Part 5Click thumbnail to view full-size
Search around the Fields of Slaughter, as you're destroying the Balistae and Trebuchets during the Machines of War quest, for another Messenger of Azmodan. This time it will be one of the red winged molok creatures. Search it's corpse to find the 5th part of Azmodan's orders to his troops.
He really knows how to inspire his troops, doesn't he?
7. Orders from Azmodan, Part 6Click thumbnail to view full-size
Once you've made it into the Arreat Crater 1 area, search near the entrance and the way-point for the final Messenger of Azmodan to find this last installment of the orders series of journals. This Messenger of Azmodan turns back to the dead Demon Soldier variety, so make sure you are looking for the right corpse type.
This journal mentions Azmodan's recruitment of the Maiden of Lust, Cydeia, in his efforts to stop the adventurer.
