Five badges! You're nearer to the ultimate goal of the Pokémon League Championship than you've ever been. Now you're off to the west of Kalos, hopefully to snag those remaining three badges . . .

Route 14 – Laverre Nature Trail

  • Head through the gate to Route 14. Cut scene ensues . . . and a battle!

Pokémon Trainer

Meowstic, level 35

Absol, level 35

Chesnaught / Delphox / Greninja, level 37

Reward: $3,700

Your neighbour strikes back. This fight is really not that bad if you're accustomed to fighting him, which you should be after the previous fights. Meowstic sets up a Light Screen defense while the other two use their strongest attacks. Use the usual attacks to bring them down.

  • Have a look around the small playground. To your left is a sandpit; in the middle of it is a hidden Super Potion.
  • Look just north of the swing set to your right. There's a Rare Candy down a small, narrow path.
  • Up ahead you'll see grass to your right and water to your left. Both will spark random battles. Bear this in mind. Just north of here is a trainer.

Pokémon Ranger Melina

Arbok, level 35

Pyroar, level 37

Reward: $2,960

Neither Pokémon is terribly strong, but Pyroar is REALLY annoying thanks to Endeavour. Kill it in one hit or you stand to lose a lot of HP.

  • Just east of the trainer is a fallen log. Inspect the clump of leaves beside it for a Tiny Mushroom.
  • Head east and north at the turn. You'll find a Cleanse Tag and a dead end.
  • Go back west. You'll see a Big Mushroom sitting in the next watery clearing.
  • North. Trainer!

Pokémon Ranger Nash

Goomy, level 38

Reward: $3,040

No big deal. Has a high Special Defense?

  • Off to the east. You'll quickly run into a creepy trainer.

Hex Maniac Anina

Litwick, level 34

Haunter, level 34

Reward: $1,080

Ghosts. Don't bring out Psychics and you'll be fine.

  • Ahead is a clearing that's dominated by water. Check out the left side and you'll find deeper water to Surf across. Do so to find a Hyper Potion.
  • You can also take the longer walk across, though doing so will probably run you into a trainer.

Pokémon Ranger Reed

Poliwhirl, level 35

Fraxure, level 36

Loudred, level 34

Reward: $2,880

A bunch of mid-range Pokémon. Strong, but not that strong. You should be fine.

  • To your left you'll find dry land. Another trainer waits.

Fairy Tale Girl Imogen

Floette, level 33

Slurpuff, level 35

Reward: $1,120

Floette is very fragile, and should be easy to beat. Slurpuff is the opposite, and might bring your Pokémon's health down substantially with Endeavour if you don't kill it in a single hit. Very annoying.

  • There's a tree to Cut beside this trainer. The path beyond leads to TM 61, Will-O-Wisp.
  • Also here is a tree that drops Roseli Berries.
  • If you try to take the northern path here you'll hit a cut scene. Might as well get it out of the way.
  • South of the house is a small path. Follow it to find a Spell Tag.
  • Back into the swamp. There's a girl looking at thw swamp. Talk to her for TM 06, Toxic.
  • Surf across the water she's staring at to find a Damp Rock.
  • Backtrack across the water and head west. If you try to take the northern path here you'll hit a cut scene. Might as well get it out of the way.
  • South of the house is a small path. Follow it to find a Spell Tag.
  • That's all for Route 14. Head north and, as the sky above clears, you'll wind up in Laverre City. Woo!

Going south of the creepy house (heading towards the location of the spell tag) you'll find a tombstone that's on the path. If you check it, you'll receive a revive.

In Pokemon X there is a bellsprout (level 16) horde in the grass. That was the only horde I ran into so don't know how common/uncommon it is
