"Diablo 3" Event Location Guide: Prisoners of Kamyr (Dahlgur Oasis)
This guide will cover the Prisoners of Kamyr event in Diablo 3, providing information on how to complete and find it. Events like this are essentially small mini quests that often provide gold, experience and sometimes item rewards for completing a short task or series of closely related ones.

Finding the Event
The Prisoners of Kamyr event takes place in the Dahlgur Oasis region of Act II. In this are, there are three main spots which seem to spawn the large tile events, those being ones which take up a considerable amount of space on the map. In the picture to the top right, you will find a sample map with the approximate locations which this event and others of its size can spawn.
The waypoint for the Dahlgur Oasis seems like it can spawn in a couple different places, but it is usually somewhere to the mid-north. Uncovering some terrain at the Path to the Oasis waypoint will allow you to check your map and get an idea of the lay of the land when you come out at the oasis waypoint itself. The land feature seen under the blue dot all the way to the left on the map is actually a spawn of the prisoners event, so look out for terrain resembling that.
You will know when you are in the right location when you find a Captive Guard tied up to a pole, surrounded by Fallen Peons (blue) and their variations. Cut your way through the first group of enemies that attacks you and untie the first guard to begin the event.
There is an achievement for completing this event and another specifically for doing so in co-op.

"Get us out of here!"
Captive Guards Freed: 3
There are four guards total which are spread around the event area. One of them, the first, will start the event, thus not technically counting as part of the objective. There will be two captives tied up at the cross of the T section the land makes around the walkable paths here, with the other two at the base of the T, on a little pocket of land surrounded by some cliffs and reachable by a small wooden bridge.
There is nothing really special about this event besides your objective and perhaps a slightly more clustered horde of enemies than usual. As long as you follow your general massive hordes strategy you'll be fine here. There does not seem to be any unique, elite or champion monsters directly associated with this event either. All variety of blue fallen types are well represented here, from peons, to masters, summoners and hounds. Remember there is another pocket of demons at the top of the area, which you have to walk around the northern edge to access, feel free to seek them out to, or you can just ignore them as they really aren't in your way.
Once you've found and rescued the three prisoners, the event is completed instantly and you are rewarded with gold and experience for your efforts. The Prisoners of Kamyr is not really something worth searching out for it's rewards, although probably just worth doing if you stumble across it.
