Finding the Tomb of Khan Dakab
The Tomb of Khan Dakab is a randomly spawning event and dungeon which is found in the Dahlgur Oasis zone of Act II in Diablo 3. In this zone, there are three spots which seem capable of spawning large tile events such as this one, otherwise known as those spawns which are significantly larger than a mere entrance of some kind. In the picture to the top right, you will find a map of the oasis with the three possible spots marked with blue dots. In my own runs, the event seemed to spawn most often at the right-most spot.
In the pictures above you will find a map of the tomb itself, which does not show up in the first sample map with blue points. It is pretty easy to distinguish when found, since as seen from the map, there is a unique pattern to the paths which lead to these center of the spawned event. Note, that the Tomb of Sadar can actually spawn at the same time as this one, even though they may seem as though they would cancel each other out.
You will need to fight your way through a variety of enemies outside of the tomb itself, in the "courtyard" to reach a pair of lever gears which stand on separate platforms to the sides of the door which leads to the dungeon itself. Activate both of these gears to open the entrance, watching out, as one of them always spawns a Rare monster for you to fight along with it's host. Kill this creature and make your way inside the tomb to begin the event.
There is an achievement for completing this event and another specifically for doing so in co-op.
The Lost Treasure of Khan Dakab
Find and pull the Vault Door Lever
This event plays out much like the Tomb of Sardar, linked above, just with some slight differences. Right upon entering the tomb, the event begins and you are given your initial objective. You will need to cut your way through the denizens of this dungeon while searching for the Vault Door Lever, which looks just like the ones you used outside, to open to treasure room door. You can find more information about the dungeon itself in the section below.
If you find a fortune shrine, try to save it until after you've opened the treasure room door, since the best loot drops in there, not counting potential Elites or Champions found randomly in the halls.
Enter Khan Dakab's treasure vault.
Once you've found and activated the lever, you will find your map pinged with the location of the treasure vault door, unless you still need to uncover its map location. Head towards it or search it out and open the now useable door to begin the final phase of the event. This is a good time to pick up the fortune shrine if you found one.
Open the Treasure and destroy the Spirit of Khan Dakab
Within the vault you will find a suspiciously unguarded resplendent chest with the special name "Treasure of Khan Dakab". Open it to send out a shower of loot and prepare yourself for attack. Immediately the unique phantom Spirit of Khan Dakab, the "Malevolent Ghost" will spawn and attack along with three or so Grim Wraiths. Watch out for his Desecrator ability, leaving little pools of fire underneath you. Once downed, you get a second shower of loot and the event completes without any extra gold or experience rewards.
