10 Ways to Make Your Sims Confident in “The Sims 4”

The Sims games have entertained players for two decades with releases of the entertaining and time-consuming simulation games since the original The Sims in 2000.

The Sims 4 offers even more details with our creations, and as well as the classic needs (hunger, bathroom, hygiene, sleep, fun, and social), things like aspirations, whims, and moodlets have enriched our gaming experience and made Sims unique.

One great feature of the newest Sims installment is Sims' moods, which are affected by behavior, environment, social situations, and needs levels. Some of the positive moods include the following:

  • Happy
  • Confident
  • Playful
  • Flirty
  • Inspired
  • Focused
  • Energized

When your Sim is confident or very confident, they get boosts and extra options in social situations, extra options when looking at a mirror, and the ability to write motivational books and paint confident paintings. Read on for tips on how to make your Sim confident!

1. Self-Assured

Boost: +1

Each Sim has four different traits which you can choose in character creation. One of these traits is "Self-Assured." A Sim who is self-assured will be confident more often!

They might wake up feeling confident or get more boosts from successful social interactions. A self-assured Sim doesn't stay embarrassed for long, either.

2. Minty Freshness

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

Select any sink on your Sim's lot and choose "Brush Teeth." It's easily the quickest way to give your Sim a confidence boost with delicious minty fresh breath.

3. Psyched Up!

Boost: +1
Duration: 3 hours

Select any mirror in the lot and select "psych self up." Ths is another excellent way to achieve the confident moodlet and it takes no time at all. Couple it with brushing your teeth to get a chance at very confident.

4. Silver Tongue

Boost: +2
Duration: 2 hours

A way to improve your Sim's Charisma skill is by selecting any mirror and choosing "practice speech." As well as working on your Charisma, you also get a nice confidence boost! It's a win-win.

5. Prolific Writer

Boost: +2
Duration: 4 hours

If your Sim is good at writing, finishing a novel gives them a fantastic confidence boost. To improve your writing skill, select a computer and choose "practice writing." After that, you can choose to write stories and books, starting with poetry and unlocking new genres as their skill increases.

Finishing a novel also gives you the chance to publish it (by selecting "publish" from the mailbox) and make money, so it's a worthwhile skill in which to invest.

6. Inspiring Artist

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

Similarly to the last point, a Sim with a high painting skill can gain confidence from finishing a good painting. All paintings can make money when you sell them, and masterpieces (achieved with high skill and painting while inspired) can be sold for a much higher amount. Use an easel or read a skill book to increase your Sim's painting skill.

With proficient abilities, finishing a great easel painting gives a nice boost to your Sim's mood. The earnings are just the cherry on top.

7. Embolded by Art

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

If your Sim can't paint, no problem! Simply viewing an artwork (by selecting it and choosing "view," your Sim will get an awesome mood boost. Museums have a lot of artwork, or you can paint and display one yourself.

8. Feeling Accomplished

Boost: +2
Duration: 4 hours

If your Sim has skill in Programming, creating a plugin makes them feel confident as well as earning them a bit of money. To create a plugin, select your computer and choose "create plugin."

It doesn't take long, and a high Programming skill nets better rewards. Finishing a good plugin will also make your Sim confident.

9. Great Prank!

Boost: +1
Duration: 3-4 hours

Once your Sim has a Mischief skill level of 3 or above, the option to prank call other Sims is unlocked. Successfully prank call someone for another boost to their confidence!

10. Cup of Bold

Boost: +2
Duration: 4 hours

For this, you'll need the Tea Magic Personal Brewer, which you can buy in the kitchen appliances section in Build Mode for 220 simoleons. Brew and drink some earl grey tea to increase your Sim's confidence.
