"The Sims 4": Island Living Careers and Odd Jobs Guide
The Island of Sulani
Let's take our Sims to the new Island of Sulani and invest ourselves in new careers! The Sims 4: Island Living offers three new part-time jobs and a new full-time career, as well as an entirely new functionality known as Odd Jobs.
Odd Jobs
Odd jobs are available to your Sim through the phone just as if they were going to find a career. However, these opportunities are only available throughout the day, starting at 8 AM and ending at 9 PM. Although you cannot pick up more during nighttime hours, each of the tasks you receive will have different deadlines. You can definitely accomplish multiple jobs in a day.
There is a ranking for Odd Jobs that increases as you complete requests, unlocking higher paying jobs that will require that your Sim has higher skills.
Fisherman, Lifeguard, and Diving Part-Time Jobs
These three new part-time jobs feature three ranks, and now with the new update, you can work multiple at once rather than one normal career, as long as you take different shifts! While they may not be very rewarding financially, there are a few bonus perks to unlock by playing them.

Environmental Manager and Marine Biologist Branches
Once you've reached this point, you'll be forced to choose between one of two branches; Environmental Manager or Marine Biologist. Environmental Managers handle conservation in a more political manner, whereas Marine Biologists obviously focus more on researching ocean wildlife.
Environmental Managers get the option over the phone to Consult on Global Policies. By doing so, they can enforce new laws that will help the island flourish. You need to keep consulting on them, though, in order to make sure they are enforced. Your Sim can also now Prepare Grant Applications and Submit Grant Applications, earning them simoleons and more points towards the overall health of Sulani.
Marine Biologists, however, will spend most of their time at the deep sea diving buoys. They may even discover new wildlife during their surveys.
Both branches gain the ability to shoot nature documentaries, which costs 500 simoleons.
