Masters of the witty quip, Secret Agents are the action masters of The Sims 4. Equal parts physical proficiency and computer literacy, sims in the Secret Agents career range from valiant heroes in the dark to terrible villains… also in the dark. There’s a lot of secrecy, y’know? It’s not easy to hit the top, though, and you’ll have to drive your sim through long hours and terrible danger (though not really) to become a Diamond Agent… or something far fouler.

To an extent, Secret Agent sims can make use of the Athletic - Bodybuilder Aspiration, though in the long run Knowledge - Renaissance Sim is probably more useful. Traits for your sim include Active, Self-Assured, Outgoing, and, if your sim intends to become a Villain, either Mean, Evil, or both. Bookworm is handy if you want to drive your sim’s love of skills as a Renaissance Sim.

Below is a list of the tiers found in Secret Agent. No sim can be both a Diamond Agent and a Villain, so you’ll need to send two sims down this path to see every possibility.

Secret Agent

  • Ideal Mood: Confident
  • Daily Task: Browse Intelligence on computer (Secret Agent); Romance interactions with other sims (Diamond Agent); Mean Interactions (Villain)

Level 1 - Agency Clerk

  • Wage: $17 / hour
  • Time: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Bonus: None

To reach level two of Secret Agent your sim must reach level two on the Programming skill. Hop onto the computer with Practice Programming or use a book to get this done fairly quickly.

Level 2 - Intelligence Researcher

  • Wage: $19 / hour
  • Time: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Bonus: $349, The Swiveler, Intelligence Research action on computers

Level 3 - Agent Handler

  • Wage: $21 / hour
  • Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Level 4 - Field Agent

  • Wage: $37 / hour
  • Time: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Days: Monday - Thursday
  • Bonus: $422

To get to level five on Secret Agent your sim must reach level three on the Fitness skill as well as perform two hours of Intelligence Research. Fitness can be as simple as sending the sim off to Jog; Intelligence Research requires a computer.

Level 5 - Lead Detective

  • Wage: $47 / hour
  • Time: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Days: Monday - Thursday
  • Bonus: $599, Nerves of Steel Desk Lamp, Investigate on computers

To reach the sixth level your sim must raise Charisma to level four, as well as have five friends. Get out there and converse using lots of Friendly interactions.

Level 6 - Government Agent

  • Wage: $52 / hour
  • Time: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Days: Monday - Thursday
  • Bonus: $851, Tactical Map

Your new Government Agent must reach level five in Fitness and level three in Programming to advance. Pretty straightforward.

  • Wage: $87 / hour
  • Time: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Days: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
  • Bonus: $936, Hidden Bookcase Door, new CAS parts

Jumping away from level seven of Secret Agent requires the sim to reach level five in Charisma. Your sim must also Investigate three other sims. You can find Investigate under the Web option on a computer.

Reaching level eight will allow your Secret Agent to branch out in one of two career directions, one far more dubious than the other.
