Millions of players around the world are enjoying the latest installment of the famous Sims video games on various platforms such as the PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and PC.

The Sims 4 continues the legacy of being able to create, customize, and live the lives of Sims, building their homes and cities, helping them advance in their careers, boost their skills, find love and friendship, and have families. Some players like to create the perfect Sims with amazing homes and successful careers, and others enjoy making them do badly or die horrible deaths for laughs!

This fun, time-wasting game series has only improved with time, and The Sims 4 has added features such as moodlets, personal aspirations, and whims to enrich players' experiences beyond just sending them to work and caring for their basic needs (hunger, bathroom, hygiene, social, fun, and sleep).

Moods such as confident, energized, happy, flirty, playful, and inspired give boosts to certain aspects of Sims' lives, whether it be dealing with social situations, improving their work performance, or reaping greater rewards for their creations from mixed drinks and dishes to bestselling novels and gallery-worthy works of art.

The "inspired" mood allows Sims to do better in their creative pursuits, including cooking, painting, writing, and playing musical instruments. Here are five easy and fun ways to make your Sims inspired or very inspired.

What's Your Favorite Aspect of “The Sims 4”?

1. The Creative Trait

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

All Sims have four traits, which you can choose when creating them in Create Mode, and affect their overall aspiration (which can be changed anytime without losing progress). The Creative trait makes your Sim naturally better at playing instruments, writing, cooking, and painting, as well as giving them random bursts of inspiration when other Sims would be fine or even tense or uncomfortable.

This useful trait is a must-have for Sims who want to create art and pursue creative careers.

2. Shower Inspiration

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

When your Sim's hygiene is low (though this isn't essential; showers can be taken anytime), select your shower and choose the option "Take Thoughtful Shower." Be sure to do this in a decent quality shower to avoid any negative mood consequences of weak plumbing.

This instantly grants an inspired point to your Sim's mood. It's ideal right before going to work (in a creative career like Painter or Entertainer) and before painting, playing an instrument, or writing a book.

3. Inspiring Art

Boost: +1
Duration: 4 hours

To do this, you will need a desk, a desk chair, and a computer. Select your Sim's computer and choose "Web" and then "Browse art." Your Sim will feel bolstered by what artistic pieces the net has to offer and enjoy a small boost of inspiration for a couple of hours.

4. Self-Inspired

Boost: +1
Duration: 8 hours

If you have skill in any of the available instruments in The Sims 4 (the guitar, the piano, and the violin, plus the pipe organ if you own The Sims 4 Vampires expansion pack).

Choose the option to strum (guitar), plonk (piano), or bow (violin) for inspiration. This inspiration-boosting act lasts a whopping eight hours and improves the Sim's skill in the instrument, so it is a good option for heading for a very inspired mood.

5. Creative Juices Flowing

Boost: +2
Duration: 4 hours

Any inspired Sim with a Mixology skill of five and above can create the drink Prose and Prop for 80 simoleons. Drinking it will give the Sim a +2 to inspired as well as +2 to happy.

You need to already be inspired to make this, so it's a nice boost when you're looking to turn that to very inspired. If your Mixology is low, hire a Mixologist and get them to make it for you. Just remember that drinking any drink from the bar has a negative effect on the Sim's bladder, so keep an eye on their bathroom need level. Bottoms up!

Inspired and very inspired Sims can create amazing pieces of art, delicious dishes, and bestselling books, as well as excel in their creative careers. With these five easy ways of achieving this incredibly useful moodlet, you'll be fulfilling your Sims' potential in no time at all, which can make them popular, successful, and rich!

Hi, Kierstin! I love the Sims too and have been playing the games since Sims Bustin’ Out on PlayStation. It’s so much fun and so addictive, and Sims 4 is just as good.

Time flies dangerously quickly when I play it! I recommend it if you haven’t already got it :D
