How to Get Free World Golf Tour Credits

Updated on April 14, 2016

World Golf Tour or WGT is a free online golf game that has taken the world by storm. If you are looking for ways to get free WGT credits then you have come to the right place. Here we will look at what world golf tour credits can be used for and then more importantly where to get WGT credits from.

You can actually buy WGT credits online. A credit is worth $0.01, so this means 100 WGT credits will cost you $1. Often the easiest way to get into the game is to buy around $10 worth of world golf tour credits, but you can manage in the game without actually having to spend real money. This game is advertised as free and it is if you don't want to actually spend any real money, the credits are optional. So now let’s see how you can win WGT credits, earn WGT credits and even get free WGT credits. First of all though, why do you need them?

What Are Credits For?

World Golf Tour is a very realistic golf game. The game play is incredible and very realistic. When you first start playing the game you are given a basic set of clubs and the standard balls. However, to progress in the game you really need better golf clubs and better balls. This is where credits come in, you can use your WGT credits to purchase clubs, balls and avatars. The more you invest in clubs the better your scoring will be, just like in real golf.

Some of the clubs on world golf tour are quite expensive. For instance, a top of the range driver will set you back 1495 credits, which is the equivalent of $14.95! If you are after buying a full set of good quality clubs it will cost you close to $100! These are for just virtual golf clubs! However, despite this seeming expensive, you don’t have to spend your actual hard earned cash!

There are also some other uses for WGT credits. There is an Elite Collection on WGT. Here you can purchase actual real life items such as gift cards, clubs and even a car. However, these are very expensive and you have to earn a massive amount of credits to even dream of getting anything from the Elite Collection. Also you can use credits to boost your experience level, slow down the meter or buy the putting tool which helps you judge putts better.

How To Earn Credits

When you play WGT there are several opportunities to earn and win credits. The most simple way to win credits on WGT is to move up a tier. You start off at hack level, then move to amateur and keep progressing until you reach legend status. Every time you move up a tier you earn credits. For the first move you earn 100 credits, then from amateur to pro it’s 200 credits. The higher you move up the list the more credits you earn. With more tiers being introduced into the game recently there are now several chances to move up a tier and this earn some free credits.

There are also competitions you can enter to earn free WGT credits. Some of these you actually have to pay credits to enter, but many are free. If you position in the top 70 places you earn credits. To really earn anything serious you have to be placing quite high up. However, when you have a few credits you can start playing in paid tournaments where you pay to enter. The prizes in these are more valuable. Players often win over 3000 tokens for winning a tournament in paid competitions.

In the past year or so WGT have introduced Ready-Go tournaments. There are always several of these running at once. There are fifty places up for grabs and the top thirty scores will win some credits. The entrance fee varies and ranges from 50 credits right up to 1000 credits, the pot for the tournament depends upon how much it costs to enter. The high priced ones pay out very nicely if you score well, but remember the competition is always much stiffer in the big Ready-Go's.

The other way to earn or win credits is to play in challenge games. These are games between two WGT players. You make a small wager at the start of the game and the winner takes home the credits. Although WGT do take a small cut for hosting the game. If you play lots of these games and win more often than not, this is another way to win credits on the game. There are different forms of challenge play including standard play, skins or matchplay.

Free WGT Credits

When you first start on WGT though it’s good to have a few credits to get you started. To do this you don’t have to part with your money. You can earn free WGT credits. To do this you simply have to take part in surveys or offers. First of all the surveys, currently there are 7 surveys you can take part in. Each one of these only takes around ten minutes. If you were to complete all the surveys you would receive 1150 credits. It can take a while for the credits to be put into your account, but they do get there eventually. The surveys are often updated and there are always new ones to complete.

Secondly you can complete offers to earn WGT credits. Some of these are very good ways of getting free world golf tour credits. There are currently 90 different offers available that can get you free WGT credits. Some of these will pay you as many as 2500 credits for taking part! For instance, if you sign up for a free trial at lovefilm, you will earn 1750 credits! This is a great way to get your credits off to a good start. Again it takes a while for your account to be credited but they will get there eventually.

World Golf Tour is one of the best online games at the moment and it is certainly the best online golf game. Credits are not essential to play the game but it does vastly enhance your chances of getting good scores if you do have some WGT credits to spend. These are just a few of the main ways you can obtain free WGT credits and really improve your experience on the game. So go and get involved and enjoy this wonderful online golf game.

Same negative experience around surveys, though I never give out my real details and use my email address I specifically set up for gaming. Never got any credits cause I never could complete one. Wgt should just rake them off.

the surveys are a scam I have completed four surveys with an average of 20 minutes and right at the end after answering all the questions they tell you are not eligible. so no credits WGT has done nothing about this shame on them for letting this continue they should tell you at the start if you are eligible or not

I started playing WGT about 2 months ago and have upgraded every club to the best available for the tier I am in without spending a penny of real money. Surveys are the quickest way to accumulate points but no one mentioned the most foolproof way of watching videos. Select "Get Credits" and then the "Watch Videos" tab. Watch the 7 videos every day for 7 views. You can then cash in 50 views for 75 credits (the best deal). Also at the bottom of this page is a link "Watch this video get 5 views". Click this often to see if there are any active videos. The other recommendation I will offer is to have at least 2 active email accounts and create a second user. Since you can send gifts to other WGT members, you can use this second account to send new items to your primary account.

surveys rock. i have all the best gear, gifted friends clubs etc, entered premium tournaments and never given wgt a cent. Some countries can do it easier than others and there is a knack to it.
