Space Orks Battleships

The Battleships of the Ork Fleet represent the largest of their welded together, shockingly functional, and their deadly-at-close-range vessels. Thanks to the Ork fleets cheaper than normal cost, you'll find some of the Battleships offered here quite potent for a cost cheaper than ships half their size when compared to other factions.

In addition to these massive flagships bristling with wide arrays of inaccurate yet highly damaging weaponry, you'll find the Mega Rok which is less of a Battleship, or ship at all really, and more a massive floating battle station with engines strapped to it allowing it to move with the rest of the Ork fleet.

Terms Used

This section briefly covers the advanced weapon data you will find for each ship. These values are calculated based off the base weapons stats and are explained as follows:
DPS - Damage Per Second - The total damage output per weapon type (all guns combined) per second, assuming 100% of shots land, before considering armor penalties.
Crits Pm - Critical Hits Per Minute - Assuming all shots land, this will be the average number of critical hit's the guns will cause every minute before modifiers. (all guns combined)
Salvos PM - Salvos Per Minute - The total number of combined waves of fire, not including multiple rounds fired from the same weapon.
Rounds PM - The actual number of shots or individual projectiles fired each minute from all guns combined.

Orks Battleships Stats

Since the Ork ships get a significant boost to their hitpoints across all their ship classes, their Battleships have the honor of having the highest hull point totals for any ship in the game, not including special craft that currently only show up in the campaign, like the Titan vessels.

Orks Battleships Attributes & Skills

There still isn't any significant shift in the attributes of either the Mega Rok or the Battleships compared to the other weight groupings in their fleet. Usually there is some sort of hindrance to engines for vessels of this size, regarding what maneuvers they can use, but since the Orks only have "forward faster" as an option to begin with, there is not much to loose there.

Ork Reactor: Grants Big Red Button and Burn Retros.

Looted Ship: +100% damage received from Fire Aboard effect
Good Troop Efficiency: Deals 2 troop damage per assault action.
Brutal Strike: 10% chance to deal +1 troop damage per assault action.

Mega Roks Special Attributes

Superconducting Engines: Grants special version of the Ork maneuvers.
Immune to Criticals: Immune to critical effects.
Boarding Mastery: 360 degree boarding arc.

The base Deadnot Battleship ties with the OrdzGargDaka variant for the cheapest of the Flagships, which also compare quite well to the cost of most other factions, coming in well under half of many other Battleships of other races. The Deadnot and the OGD have a big difference in their on paper damage and cpm, but most of that is because the insane numbers granted to the Double-Barreled Mega Kannon.

In a lot of cases, the damage potential Torpedoes can overpower the idea of a prow weapon if you're not focused on staying at long range, but in this case, the Double-Barreled Mega-Kannon deals so much damage, it still seems worth considering the benefit in an extended fight. That being said, an 8 rack of torpedo tubes with secondary boarding charges is pretty devastating in its own right, so really it's a big matter of preference.

The Deadnot Urd Unki is the Ork's carrier flagship and their most affordable means of stacking launch bays en-masse. For the points cost of the Deadnot Urd Unki, you get your 5 Launch Bays at 64.2 points per bay, compared to the Basha Urd Unki at 73 points per bay and the two Terror Cruisers which both cost 93 points per bay.

The backup standard weaponry seems pretty weak on paper compared to the majority of Ork ships, but it is worth taking into account that the range of the weapons of the Deadnot Urd Unki are all of the longer range variety and tend to have the better of the two accuracy modifiers, allowing the Battleship to operate at range somewhat better (efficiency wise) than most of the other comparable vessels.

The Top Tier damage dealer of the Ork fleet, second only to the special Mega Rok floating base/platform. Like all Orc ships, the Deadnot OrdzGargDaka really needs to get up close and personal to deal the majority of its potential damage. Just to put how much that matters in perspective, only 17 dps and 2.7 cpm worth of your weapons can even try to fire past 4,500 units without some secondary effect modifying the range and that's not even taking into account the accuracy modifiers of the weapons that can fire.

Combined with the base version Deadnot, these two Battleships offer incredibly affordable flagship options that are cheaper than many other Cruisers in the game.

The Mega Rok takes the cake for high on paper dps and crit numbers, costing the same as some other expensive faction's Battleships, but putting out damage numbers 4 or more times higher. The damage output is so high, that it actually ends up doing a Battleship's worth of damage out of every quadrant of it's firing arcs, meaning if you can keep it in the middle of an enemy fleet at close range for its Heavy Gunz to land properly, you will do some serious wrecking. In addition, the large array of Zap Kannons is somewhat appealing considering the rarity of these weapons on the line ships.
