How To Change Tables at “Zynga Poker”

Poker is my favorite hobby, only matched by my love for video games. I have ten+ years of poker experience to share in my poker game guides!

Time for a Zynga Poker Table Change!

While playing a hand of poker at Zynga Poker, you may find yourself wanting to change tables. There are a few ways to do this.

In this short guide, I am going to explain what options you have. I will also explain why you would want to change tables.

Click the New Table Button

The first way to change a table is to click the new table button.

Click the options button at the side of the table. Then click New Table. I also stand up first so I won’t be put into a new hand.

Changing tables this way normally will sit you at a new table at the same speed, stakes, and size you were previously at.

So if all you want to do is change tables, this normally is the best option.

Stand up and Go Back to the Main Menu

A second way of changing tables is to leave the table and go back to the main menu.

From here, you can select the same stakes, speed, and table size. Or you can change things and do something different.

I normally don’t do this too often, but sometimes I will change table speed.

The player pool found in normal speed tables is different than fast. There is also a different player pool for nine-seat and five-seat tables.

Stand up From the Table and Wait

There is one more somewhat sneaky way of changing tables. I suppose you are not really changing tables, but this will get new players.

If you stand up from a table and wait long enough, eventually, new players will join. Also, the old players may leave.

This is pretty much the same as finding a new table.

I sometimes do this if I need to take a break, and I want to start playing right away after.

This is a way of playing with new people and keeping a certain chip stack size as well.

Why Change Tables?

Avoid Annoying Players

The most oblivious reason is to avoid an annoying player. If a player is being slow or doing something that annoys me, I will quickly leave and find a new table.

The thing that annoys me the most is people who play slow on purpose. I often will leave very quickly when people do this.

There is no reason to put up with annoying behavior when many people play this game.

Table Is Boring or Can't Win

If I have played at a table for over ten minutes and I don’t see a way for me to win chips, I normally will leave.

There are so many fish and bad players on Zynga Poker. I rarely will go out my way to try to win chips from equal or better players. It often is just too hard.

I also will leave tables if things are boring, and I don't think anything will change anytime soon.

With all the people on Zynga Poker, this problem can be easily changed with a click/tap of a button.

Person Who I Can Win Against Leaves

If I am at a table only because a certain player is there, I almost always leave when they leave.

If I am winning chips from just this one player and they quit, then often there is no reason to remain.

It is truly a sad sight when you see the player handing out chips like it is some kind of poker holiday leave. Often these players leave from going bust.

The standard passive call and then fold player is boring and hard to win against. I often will leave these players behind without much thought.

The people I win the most chips from are people who play too aggressive or call too much. These are the players I want to find and play with.
